It is like entering the world of an old Japanese tale. "MOSHI MOSHI House" is one of the oldest houses in Kamijyo Village. It has been called "MOSHI MOSHI(Hello Hello) House" by the local inhabitants as it was the only place in the village where a telephone has been installed at one time. I was on my way back to Tokyo from Matsumoto and decided to stop in Suwa just to take a look. I was not so impressed with Suwa, but I came across Katakura Hall and that made it all worthwhile. For only ¥650, you can enjoy the bath for as long as you want. After that, go upstairs to the rest floor and enjoy a light meal or some drinks from the vending machines. A very relaxing afternoon for such a small price!
