We choosed the all-in formula, so that we had breakfast, lunch and dinner included. We loved it Staff is friendly, and offers an amazing service, the facilities aren't just cleanm they are spotless, and we really enjoy the entire stay, and look forward to get back later in the year. keep doing the good job Marinagri !

Reviewed By helen smith1975We visited Greek ruins, Matera the 'culture capital of Europe'. The beach is well organized and clean with crystal clean waters. Good night life with bars and nightclubs along the beach. The village has good accommodation clean and well maintained. The swimming pool with excellent life guard great for children, good, friendly entertainment staff. well worth returning.great value for money. The shop is a little sparsely stocked.

The activities around the pool and on the beach kept us hopping. The staff was amazing .... friendly and very helpful. We made many friends during our stay. We hope to go back again next year. Each day they recommended great places to experience the local cuisine. Salvatore went above and beyond to accommodate our arrangements at the beach as well as our daily excursions. Many thanks goes to Emilia for her hospitality and for all her useful information about the local culture. We strongly recommend this hotel to anyone interested in visiting the Lucania region. In summer, from the Hermes Hotel you can participate in organized tours around Basilicata. The hotel boast confortable common areas. Bar Hermes serves international cocktails and the restaurant serves local and international food.The pool among the olive trees ideal for a relaxing day.

Breakfasts were excellent, typically Italian. We ate in the restaurant in the evening where food was good 'Table de Hote' standard. Nice swimming pool, which wasn't too busy when we were there. Free wifi, but poor quality in our room which was to the east of the building. We needed to go to the reception area to get access. Rooms a little dated but clean and functional. Hotel is a short walk 600m from the town, close to motorway, but sound was not intrusive. Rooms comfortably air conditioned. Beach is some distance away (at least two miles) but hotel run a shuttle bus. Beaches are great. Plenty organised 'lidos' but it is also worth searching out the ones the locals use.

English people should not stay here
Reviewed By Sorrell NI think this resort is very catered for Italian tourists but not anyone else. Very few staff spoke English. It is miles from any shops/restaurants/bars. The rooms don’t have coffee machine, cutlery or anything of any use. If you stay here you definitely need a car to travel to nearby towns. We ended up staying in 3 other hotels in different locations throughout our stay due to the poor location. The food is really bad which was a shame after paying for half board. In summary, I really wouldn’t recommend staying at this hotel.

Reviewed By FanSmitWe are currently staying at Danaide it is really nice. Other (non Italian) reviewers are not necessarily wrong, but colored by expectation. If you are looking for quietness and tranquility, don’t come. It is ‘resort style’ so with kids, music and entertainment. It is Italian, so don’t expect an English breakfast. And true, most won’t speak much English, however they will try their best to help you. It is in the middle of nowhere (but you could have seen that on the map), but the tiny market has fair prices and you can always rent a car. The apartments are spacious, modern, clean and quiet (keeps the music out). The buffet has (due to covid restriction) limited choice - 4 salads, 4 primi, 4 secondi and 3 desserts - , but good quality. Given previous reviews: now they have a proper espresso machine in the morning and wine included in the evening. The pool is nice and has enough beds. The beach is near, and nice. People are friendly, drinks are good, food is fine, everything is very clean; so I would definitely advice to go here, especially if you would like to ‘feel’ that you are abroad and don’t care to change your daily rhythm to the local one. Only improvements would be the WiFi that is fast, but only accessible near the reception and the lack of an outside dining location.

They all seemed happy with their work and this reflected on us as guests. I really appreciated all the hard work they put to make us have a wonderful experience. Every one of them had tasks they were responsible for and you can notice the precision and love they put even in the smallest details like the perfectly baked crispy eggplant sticks on top of the fish cream starter.
