The location is perfect, a 10 minute stroll down into the centre of Pescasseroli. Lovely area for walking. The Restaurant was excellent, really good options, we had our best meal of our week in Pescasseroli at the Bucaneve Restaurant. The swimming pool and sun loungers are a great bonus to relax after a long days walking.

We couldn't find the hotel, and later we discovered that there are two roads with the same name, and our GPS could only find the incorrect road. We 'phoned the hotel and could get no information out of them whatsoever. We tried English, German and French, but the staff only speak Italian. We could actually hear the hotel staff in the background laughing about our predicament. Eventually we found a kind lady in a B&B in the centre of town who drew a map for us to find the Edelweiss. It turns out that the hotel is +- 2km out of town. The room was quite a shock, with old furniture from the 50's. We asked if there was a better room available but the answer was no. The lounge area (with wifi) is used as a play area for the children of the hotel staff. At breakfast we sat at a table and were promptly moved to a table behind a pillar, even though the place was nearly empty. How did the hotel allocate tables? The best tables were empty during breakfast anyway. It's a shame because with a little effort the hotel could be lovely. In this day and age of international travel surely you need someone who speaks English in the hotel? Or perhaps French or German?

The rooms are spacious, exceptionally clean and best of all, warm all day! Located right next to the slopes, all you have to do is go out, put on your ski equipment and take either the chair lift or car lift which connects you to all the slopes around Roccaraso. You also get discounts on renting gear and a courtesy coupon to the spa for you and your partner, for an hour. The entertainment in the evenings were fun (if you understand some Italian) and the staff are always on hand to tend to your requests with a warm smile on their faces. Best of all is the food and the service of the Maite’d and his team. Absolutely divine, delicious and plentiful original Italian cuisine. The waiter assigned to our table, Alessandro, was really attentive to our preferences and so also were the others. A truly awesome experience. Highly recommended!

Great place to relax after long walks that, inevitably, you will have to face if you want to enjoy the fantastic place that surrounds you. -The staff is very kind (even more than you can expect): I had forgotten to buy something at the supermarket and they took care of it very kindly. AGAINST: -The room is really tiny and, unfortunately, the sheets did not seem very clean. -The room on the ground floor had a large window (and its balcony) that was practically on the street at the entrance. I don't know, I had the feeling to sleep a bit in the middle of the street.

Reviewed By therese mwhat a nice place to spend some time. we are here on the kiting trip 9 of us. the last floor is just ours. great view onto Rivisondoli, nice rooms and super clean. the staff is just lovely and always smily. you feel like at home. big bravo to the kitchen chef!!! we really enjoy your meal every night. quantity and quality. i give them all 5 stars. 7 mn drive to the slope. typical italian village.

Reviewed By Henry CHotel degli Olmi, a small-medium family owned hotel, the parents run the business while their sons support, the elder one as an all round talent and a waiter, very friendly and professional and the younger as one of the cooks, he cooks and bakes so well with only 21 years of age, enviable! Great and toward coming service: separate blankets? Vegan and gluten-free? you name it, they will do their best to satisfy your needs Very good and diversified Italian food: we stayed 7 nights half-board: none of the dishes were repeated, there was a constant change while always having 3 choices for each first or main course. Partially own (excellent) fresh bread, home made desserts Good local wines for very fair prices Location: 1000m above sea level near a beautiful small lake. We enjoyed the moderated summer temperatures Maintenance and cleanliness are the weakest member in the chain, however still in an acceptable level I would recommend this hotel and I would visit it again

Ready for another vacation
Reviewed By NoName GWe stayed here in January of 2015 and it was a great time. Our last visit was just the wife and I . We are going again with the kids. There was lots to do in the hotel as well as around the hotel. Karaoke, games, dancing, bar, nice fireplace, movies, LOTs going on in the hotel, and lots of outdoor adventures within walking distance and lot of shopping and exploring to do around the town. We are excited to go back.
