Reviewed By Seb732014We decided to go back to Sanya for our April holiday. We really appreciate the Club Med philosophy as it really pleases everyone. What tops it all is the friendliness, care and friendliness of its staff. They are truly at the heart of Club Med! Our stay this time has been quite unusual however as there were growing Covid cases in the area and there were some pushes from the authorities to close the hotel. We finally made 5 days instead. Thanks to the care of Eric, the chef de village and its staff, we were informed in time that we needed to shorten our holiday, which we did. Good news, we have a nice little voucher that we will be able to use again! Many many thanks to Eric again, leading a wonderful team, to Zack, Anna, Alex, Stan! thanks to the team at the bar, Rohit, Dany, Patty, Betty, Maulona and Jessica. Thank you to Oliver in sports as well as Jade, Betty again at the restaurant. I am forgetting people, as many more should be on that list! Hope to see them again!

Duty Manager, Honz, did an exceptional job to make me feel welcomed and taken care of every time I see him or need help. He is definitely a life saver when it comes to emergency. My room was always impeccable after each clean up. I couldn't ask for a better team. Bravo!

Family vacation like at home

Anyone who wants to escape the madness of the city and relax, with or without children, is in the right place. The team around General Manager George does a great job to make everything right for the customer. The staff is very dedicated and there is a warm, family atmosphere. The facility is very well maintained and clean and offers many opportunities for children and adults. So no one will be bored. The restaurant and the selection of food is fantastic. Fresh ingredients, varied dishes as well as a good selection of drinks make eating an adventure. And as if all that is not enough, the staff also takes care of personal matters. My car broke down and they assisted me with that all day to get me a new battery and get the car fixed again. Simply incredible and not to be taken for granted. Thank you again for this. We will remain loyal visitors and are already looking forward to the next reunion.

Reviewed By Resort47301990177刚结束冬奥会，小伙伴们就被滑雪激起了无限热情，正好我也想给这个冬季写上完美句号，于是乎想到之前在ClubMedTomamu一价全包的休闲度假并且超级省心之旅，买上机票带着俩新手小白，选择了新开的ClubMed长白山。由于刚开，房间设施还是很新并且温馨，即使是双床看起来也很宽裕，洗浴用品AHAVA的很滋润。一日三餐，种类还不错，非常喜欢早餐的Sunny-side配上牛角包，水果每天都新鲜。中午和晚上也能吃到不一样的牛羊肉或者东北当地特色菜，可惜没喝到人参鸡汤，每天晚上两个冰淇淋相当快乐。虽然鲁能这里的赛道并不丰富，对于我的小伙伴们新手早已足够，这次滑雪技术也靠着CM包含免费团体教练课程一大优势，有所精进，在此特别感谢Shawn教练的教导，对每位学员，耐心指导每个动作。我也顺利通过C2。滑雪过后，拉伸也是必须的，瑜伽小姐姐也教的特别细心，还参加过空中瑜伽课，都是放松身心的。温泉也听说是其他国内滑雪度假村所没有的，非常像极乐汤之类的，滑完雪之后泡一泡很舒缓。晚上的show和crazysign也不容错过，白天的滑雪教练或在前台在餐厅的小哥哥小姐姐们立马化身暗夜舞者，给我们带好美好的夜晚。晚上的酒水也是畅饮。已经是离开长白山的第N天，但却想念那里

Ikkyo Resort has lots of potential
Reviewed By laurasaysWe stayed three nights at the resort, which was ample time to enjoy the nice surroundings. We were keen to stay outside Yangshuo but close enough to visit with ease. (It's a maximum ten minute drive to West St/Xi Jie, the main dining and souvenir shopping zone for tourists). The grounds of the resort are lush and nicely maintained, the rooms are huge, and the staff is polite and strives to be helpful. The resort does not currently cater well to non-Chinese guests. It seems to want to attract them, given the booking sites it is listed on. There are steps management could easily take to improve the experience for those who don’t understand the language. Our room was an 'immersion' room, on the ground floor. The other types were apparently all taken when we made our booking. We would have preferred to stay on a higher floor to take advantage of the view of the karst hills out the windows. Since the main walking path goes past the ground floor rooms, we kept the blinds shut most of the time. And when they were up, there was bamboo - helpful for ensuring privacy - shielding the view. The interior was very spacious. In fact, there was a lot of redundant space. The decoration would best be described as eclectic. It's perfectly comfortable, just not especially user friendly. Other guests have commented on the openness of the bathroom to the bedroom. There is a blind to pull down for a degree of privacy but a door would not go amiss. The breakfast could do with a revamp. It's not that the food is bad, it's just an odd collection: ham, bacon, eggs, salad, white toast, sometimes without spread, and coffee. Identically served to each diner daily. By Day Three we decided to give it a miss. One remedy would be to offer some choice, e.g. tea or coffee, continental or cooked, meat or no meat, rather than assuming everyone has the same taste in breakfast food. Perhaps guests could tick their preference on a pre-printed list, rather than muddling through verbal order-taking with the cook./waitress. We were told that the resort will soon provide meals at other times of the day. That is a promising development. Early evening when we were enjoying sitting in the nice outdoor area behind the reception we sometimes would have liked to dine in, not have to travel back to Yangshuo. Helen, the manager, and one other staff member spoke enough English for us to organise transport and did their best to make sure we were taken care of. Management ought to prepare a folder for each guest room containing English language information about the resort and sightseeing possibilities, including maps, e.g. of cycling or walking routes. An English version of Lonely Planet to borrow from reception would be a good starting point. If we were able to speak Mandarin to staff and tap their expertise about the local area, our experience would likely have been greatly enhanced. Even in the absence of a shared language, Ikkyo Resort can make small, simple adjustments that would really improve its attractiveness to a wider range of guests. The resort is a good concept located in an idyllic environment and we hope it can reach its potential.

Major disappointment on first day alone
Reviewed By dinganfSeveral major issues with this property that are quite lethal from my first experience with Club Med Aranya. 1. After a more than 3 hour drive from Beijing, our car is stopped at the Aranya community gate. Despiser showing our reservation at the Club Med and having the guard speak directly with Club Med to verify us, we are not allowed into the community. The guards are also very rude although to be fair they are not Club Med employees. This managerial glitch caused us to be literally waiting at the gate in our car for half an hour marking a bad first impression. 2. We have booked two connecting rooms for the family. We repeated this in the booking and on the phone. But at the check-in we are told no connecting rooms were available anymore. This was later resolved after a manager intervened. 3. Concierge misplaced our luggage. One bag wasn’t sent up for more than 24 hours. I had to go to concierge myself to find it. I know you shouldn’t expect much from Club Med but still my first personal experience with this property has killed all fantasy I harbor with the brand.

The kids had a blast thanks to all the friendly G.O.’s who take their time to come up with so many fun activities! Definitely recommend for families!

So much more than expected - amazing staff and resort

We originally planned our stay from February 18th to 23rd however because of your team, we extended another two nights regardless of the cost. Above and beyond: the staff EVERYWHERE were amazing and so helpful. It was my birthday and our anniversary, Anna and Adjas in reception made sure it was extra special and that we were treated great. The GO team including the instructors were incredible. Always up for a chat and helpful. Shoutout to the ski instructors Stefan, Alexis and Philip who were great instructors and great people to mix with. The GO team around the bar in the evening were very outgoing and engaging. Shout out to Appy, Martin, Milk, Anna, Adjas, Ellie, Cammy and many more. Chef Rudy gave us the most amazing food- I mean the BEST! Gym for days after this holiday! Ricardo also who was there lunch and dinner, constantly giving us what we needed before we asked (morning coffees, lunch and dinner wine ;) ) If I'm being honest, I wouldn't have ever considered Club Med before as it wouldn't usually be our kind of holiday due to price but because of the team, we loved it and will be returning next year with friends! The ski resort itself was perfect due the fact that it had beginner slopes and then also difficult slopes for a mix range of levels. The hotel facilities had the bar, different restaurants, evening shows and a jacuzzi (best thing for after a day skiing). Thank you again Club Med Beidahu!
