Tenby Hotels | Places to Stay in Tenby

August 8, 2022 Roseanne Arnett

Tenby is lovingly protected from the outside world by an embrace of 13th-century stone walls, which, ironically, attract—not repel—visitors from all over the world. The town is simply adorable, teeming with the archetypes of pubs and shops one would expect to find in a U.K. city. Adding further appeal are the miles of gorgeous beaches and the gently lapping waves of a blue-grey sea.

Friendly and Clean

Fantastic B&B which made our stay in Tenby very memorable. Special mention to Sandra on evening reception who was very friendly and helpful especially with places to eat and also just to chat too. Darius could not be more helpful at breakfast, as were all the staff. The room and property were very clean, great relaxing interior design, and spotless clean. Plenty of car parking and central for all Pembrokeshire attractions. We went to St Davids, Picton Castle and the Wildlife park, all great days out and good value for money.

Free on site car parking. Staff were helpful and friendly, and knowledgeable about the local area. The restaurant is excellent with good service and excellent cuisine. On-site spa and pool. If spa treatments are required, it is wise to book in advance as the spa is very busy and popular. Great atmosphere in the hotel, very friendly. I will definitely stay again if I visit the local area.

Jubilee weekend stay

Reviewed By carlyJJ

Stayed here with my partner for 3 nights over the Jubilee weekend. Lovely stay, room 11 was very comfy and cosy. This room overlooked the back of the hotel but this was not an issue. Had breakfast which was included in the price which is self service and you can go up as much as you like. Very tasty! Used the pool twice (currently need to book at reception a 45 min slot) however this was never an issue. Pool all to ourselves! No robes provided but towels are and there are changing rooms at the side of the pool area. Room service each day and clean towels. Only downside was the price of the drinks in the bar and lack on non alcoholic beverages eg pironi and sella. Other than this all staff every friendly and will assist you in anyway they can! Stayed here many times before and will definitely be back!

What a smashing place, clean, well-equipped, friendly staff, lovely breakfast and amazing rooms. We came here for a short break following our wedding and treated ourselves to the Cawdor Room - Room 102, with the most impressive sea view - what a treat following our special day. Cannot speak too highly of this lovely hotel and hope to return for many anniversaries in the future. Do keep a look out for Simon the Gardener’s paintings they are lovely and very reasonably priced, a great memento of your stay in Tenby

Awful experience

Reviewed By nyree2019

Went to Premierinn for a well deserved break and was appalled by the standard of cleanliness of the room. Reported it on first day about cleanliness, dust all under bed and across headboard in room. Mould on shower door and in shower, sealant peeling off in bathroom; rust all over light switch and lamp. Window was dirty with a piece of net that appeared filthy, scaffolding outside window on building opposite with workmen. Not informed on website. Pillows were like rocks and only one. Breakfast was booked and on second day no tables available, even though we had payed and booked a time a day before. Absolute shambles of a place ! No bins emptied in rooms had to do myself. Reported to acting manager and then to the manager, nothing done ! Only said it was unacceptable and should have been offered a alternative room when arrived. Which we weren't! Left before our departure date as had enough! Emailed guest relations and appalled by the email received; basically they don't care and do not read your complaint ! No offer of any resolution to the terrible experience at their hotel. DO NOT BOOK WITH PREMIER INN! THEY ADVERTISING ON TV IS FALSE! NO LOVELY BED IT IS OLD AND THE MATTRESS IS DIRTY AND IN NEED OF REPLACEMENT WITH THE BED CREAKING ! THE PILLOWS ARE HARD LIKE ROCKS ! THEY ARE FULL OF FALSE PROMISES !

Nice seafront hotel

Reviewed By cemremnv

The hotel us located right by the beach. The location is just perfect. The owner is very cheerful, welcoming and helpful. The room was a bit too small but comfortable. The shower had a bathtub and the water pressure was good. There were biscuits, tea/coffee and a kettle provided in the room, together with towels of course. The breakfast was also very good. Plenty of options, just ask what you want.

Don't go

Reviewed By G6148SVsarahh

Came here today 3rd June and left two hours later to go home. Hotel from the entrance was surrounded by scaffolding and looked extremely tatty Room not ready so had to wait half an hour. Would not advise people with mobility problems as getting to our room was up and down stairs after getting out of lift. Lift had grubby carpet up the walls and carpets to our room were badly stained. Eventually got key for room. Found scaffolding all around window which hadn't been cleaned for a long time and sills filthy. Carpet had lots of staines. Bed mattress had stains. Pillows had sweat staines all over the pillow protectors. Duvet was so old and dirty. Rang reception and was told cleaner would be up. After half an hour rang again and was told cleaner had been and had knocked on door. Not true as we were in room waiting. Then was told cleaners had gone home. Lady at reception said she would be up in a bit but could not say when as she was the only member of staff to book people in and out. Rang her and said we had waited long enough and. Was informed no other rooms available. So went down to reception and told lady I was not prepared to stay in that filthy room any longer. So left after two hours and made our way home to bristol.
