Normal bar and average food. Go here for the fire dancers and the views. There are much better places to eat and drink on the beach but it isn't bad. It's just normal.Hola!! We read countless reviews on this place, I believe it is considered to be the #7th best place to eat in Tamarindo. This could not be FURTHER from the truth. To begin, the service. We were a group of four and there was already a couple there having a drink. We ordered four drinks and all ordered nachos. It took roughly 10-15 minutes just to get our drinks. The drinks were so bad we could not even finish them. When one person in our group asked for a new drink since theirs was undrinkable the service responded in a rude manor. We all ordered chicken nachos. They were covered with a mountain of nachos. There was an extremely small amount of chicken, beans, and cheese. 90% of the nachos was pico. The entire experience was weird. The place looks filthy and bugs flew all over us during our entire meal. I would say Iâm not sure why there are hundred of positive reviews we were completely dumbfounded when we showed up.

I have been coming to Tamarindo for the last ten years. At first there was no place to get a good steak until the Patagonia opened about 5 years ago. Now It's a place I might return twice during my 1 week stay. I enjoy the Sangria and a Strip Steak.

Some of the best empanadas we've had in all our Latin American travels. Made fresh daily, the pollo(chicken) and carne(beef) are huge and stuffed to the max. We carried a steaming bag of goodness back to our cabina every time we passed the place. Awesome fresh but just as good for the late night munchies or the next morning for breakfast.Tip of the Day.. Pick up a few for the plane trip home(and a small bottle(100ml) of Lizano from the mercado around the corner), watch the faces of other passengers as you gorge on fresh(more or less) baked empanadas while they choke down days old dry airline sandwiches and wraps..Pura vida amigos,,

Was there during World Cup this year....very good service, drinks and food. Enjoyed relaxing out of the sun with a cold one! The meals were very good, esp the fresh fish plates. Very nice smoothies too. A very nice setting to watch the waves and surfers. Friendly and helpful staff everytime.

The food is fantastic! Had the gallo pinto, the typical Costa Rican meal and it was perfect! The homemade bread is fantastic, daughter asked if we could buy a whole loaf. The avocado toast, best we have ever had. And the lemonade, wow!!! Everything was wonderful and we are so glad we found this place! If you are looking for a fresh cooked to order breakfast served by the nicest family look no further than Jalapenos. Mike and his wife made us feel like part of their family while sitting outside in the cutest garden.The burritos were amazing. They were huge and delicious and filled us up till dinner time.If the setting and food weren't enough they invited us behind the restaurant to see and hand feed their chickens. For is city slickers from the US it was a definite highlight.

If your staying at the JW Marriott in Guanacaste I highly recommend taking a walk on the beach (during low tide) to Lolaâs for lunch. The food was great and the staff was awesome. The views were also spectacular
