White sand and very quiet. You can chill under a tree all day!!! It has also a parking lot to leave your car wile you enjoy the beach. Great for surfers and people in general that enjoy nature.

I had zip lined once before somewhere else a few years ago and had a terrible experience, so when my husband convinced me to try zip lining again, I agreed because he loves it, but I was terrified. However, after my experience at Pinilla Canopy Tour, I may be a zip line addict--I LOVE it now! It would not be possible had the guides not been so amazing. I let them know about my terror of zip lining and they made it really fun--and funny! I even zipped upside down! I thank them so much for helping me overcome my fear. I can't wait to go back. I may be a "frequent flyer" now!

Where to begin... WELL. It was SO fun. My girlfriend and I were picked up by the very charismatic duo of Tim and Sparky. We were taken to a very secluded section of beach, which was both beautiful and awesome; and given a very comprehensive and personal lesson on how to surf. Sparky, a former professional surfer, did an amazing job of guiding us on all aspects of Surfing including: telling us when to paddle, and when to "get up!" AND I ACTUALLY DID IT. I SURFED FOR REAL. Which was so cool!! They provided water, and fresh pineapple for us. Tim took lots of pictures so we'd have something for the 'gram. We stayed until sunset, and then headed home. It was unbelievable. A PERFECT way to spend an afternoon in Costa.

I took Surfing lessons with Javier during my solo adventure to Costa Rica. One of the reasons I decided to try Surfing was to overcome my fear of the ocean. Javier was extremely patient and figured out very quickly that I was not the most comfortable with the waves. He encouraged me to keep trying but didn’t push me too much and made me feel safe throughout. After our surf lesson, he also showed me around the area and suggested a few places I could visit during my trip. Overall, it was an amazing experience and I couldn’t have asked for anything better. I would highly recommend Javier and will definitely use Pargos when I am in the area again.

I just played this course on april 14th. Even though it is a very nice course, and fun to play, it was completely dry. Fairways are all yellow and the ball is very hard to see.. If you are going to play this course, make sure it is green and alive.. Its a fun course and has a couple of holes on the back 9 with very nice views.. If the course was green, i wouldve given five stars.

I have had the opportunity on two separate vacations in the Las Avellena's area to receive a massage by Bret and Amy. They are both wonderful and I highly recommend them for a real treat! The setting couldn't get any better (check out the photo) It is in the middle of lush Gardens and the sound of the ocean waves not far off is something that transports you to another time and space. Highly recommend them. Don't go to this area without visiting Bret and Amy!
