Both times I've been here, it is packed with locals, and I'm the only tourist. I like the fried rice (chaufa) but my favorite is the wonton soup (sopa de wonton) especially because it gets so cold at night in Puno. The broth is soothing and hits the spot for my craving of Asian food. The plates are huge and can be easily shared. Excellent prices.

Restaurant Chifa Xin Fu is located in the centre of Tacna between Plaza Zela and Mercado Central. The restaurant offers the usual Chinese dishes.Decoration and table decoration of Chifa Xin Fu give the restaurant a simple ambiance. Food is good but far from exquisite. Staffs are friendly and service is adequate. We came on a Sunday late afternoon and the place was packed with locals, a good sign. We went for wonton soup and we were not disappointed. The wonton was good and tasty. We recommend Chifa Xin Fu to anyone who seeks OK Chinese food at a very acceptable price.
