Great meal in a fantastic setting! This beautiful summer cottage converted to a hotel and restaurant was right in the National Park along the Prince Edward Island seashore. The mussels were an excellent starter bUt fresh lobster was the highlight. Don't forget the sticky date pudding for desert! The service was great! We enjoyed cocktails while overlooking the lawn and pond with the Park forming the background. Well worth the trip from Charlottetown!

The Blue Mussel Cafe is a seasonal seafood restaurant located in North Rustico Harbour, PEI just off the beaten path. We specialize in FRESH seafood and strive to provide food that is as fresh and local as possible. We offer a large variety of delicious and wholesome meals with NO deep fried food. We are committed to offering an authentic PEI dining experience and a view that you will never forget!

Blue Mussel Cafe was recommended to us by our B&B host and we were not disappointed. It was one of the few restaurants on the north shore of PEI that was still open in mid-October. For that, we were thankful. We were also thankful that we got to appreciate the great food and nice views without the crowds that apparently can be found here in high season. I had the Pan-Fried Haddock and my husband had the Bubbly Seafood Bake. Both were excellent. We topped it off with a share of the Chocolate Potato cake. Atmosphere is relaxed and staff very personable.

We went for the lobster roles after Reading the reviews but were somewhat disappointed by the venue itself. After receiving our order at the pick up window and finding a seat on the lower level we were inundated with flies on our drinks and food. The lobster roles were ok but not great. The fries were smaller, stubby pieces and somewhat greasy. Not what we were expecting.

If you want to taste scrumptious local seafood .....or you are in the mood for international cuisine this restaurant has both! Gorgeous setting with Gardens and art, relaxing, bright and airy. The service is superb....thanks to Nadine for giving us the Perfect experience!
5. Watts Restaurant
Small, little local harbor restaurant in Covehead Harbor, Prince Edward Island that has the very best lobster burgers!!
