Kingston Country Courtyard

Kingston Country Courtyard has been established for many years now, having started in one bedroom of the busy farmer’s Purbeck stone farmhouse. Furnished to a very high standard and offering the comforts of modern living, they retain much of their original character and charm. Beautiful wedding venue

Reviewed By Janet W

I have just spent the weekend attending a wedding here and found it to be really lovely. Tony and all the team were friendly, smiley and efficient and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. From arrival until departure it was great. Our room was massive with a huge very comfortable bed. Everywhere was clean and well looked after. Food was lovely, bar prices no more expensive than other hotels. Views amazing. Thank you Tony and the team.

Nice place but food disgusting

Reviewed By grant1234567890

Room and surroundings were nice but don’t eat there. The english breakfast I had was the most disgusting breakfast I have ever had. Bacon swimming in grease and the cheapest possible sausages you could possibly buy were raw. The staff just said we have cooked them for a long time and that is how they are. Cold in the middle, soft and squishy and pink says raw to me. Several people complained and no one ate the sausages. Tea bags must also be the cheapest bargain basement. Absolutely foul. I didn’t eat there again. Shame because the experience could have really nice

This is a lovely option for a bed and breakfast stay. The hosts are so welcoming and the location is perfect for exploring Salisbury and its surrounding areas. Breakfast was delicious and the room was large with the most sumptuous cosy bed. Wendy and her family are very helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Like stepping into history with amazing hospitality.

Blackmore Manor house is a stunning place to stay. We booked 2 nights in The Gallery and were really sorry to leave. Ian and Ann are the perfect hosts; friendly, generous and really enthusiastic about their beautiful house. Booking online was simple and we arrived to a warm welcome from Ann who provided us with freshly brewed tea and coffee and homemade cake. The gallery is a stunning room in the old house. The room is more like a suite and full of character - the main bedroom downstairs with a huge lounge area upstairs, lots of space and decorated with tapestries and furnishings in keeping with the historic building. The higgledly staircase could be an issue for some, but we loved it. A hearty breakfast was served in the hall, we ate amongst the collection of arms, a suit of armour and a grand fireplace. Delicious freshly cooked farm produce, lots of choice and nothing was too much trouble. A chat with Ian was a delight and he happily explained the history of the farm and it's recent refurbishment. Excellent value for money - can't wait for our next visit.

Upper Court

Diana and Bill Herford and their family have been welcoming visitors to Upper Court in the Cotswolds for almost 40 years. Five stylish, cosy holiday cottages are set in 15 acres of mature gardens and grounds. Oozing character and charm they are the perfect place to entertain friends and clients, enjoy a family reunion or celebrate a hen party. The ideal retreat for a long summer holiday, a family Cotswold Christmas or a romantic weekend hide-away.

Memorable family reunion

Reviewed By PPguest

We were a large family group, like many others long overdue a shared break. Upper Court was perfect for a long weekend for the twenty-one adults and eight kids. The planning went well, (though the pool was never warm enough) but the night around the fire pit has left us all with fond memories. Accommodation was first rate, though catering got a little cramped - but, hey, most meals were out or take-away. Weather was kind, so both rowing and tennis was available for novices, and we never got around to exploring local amenities. Everyone is keen to repeat our visit, and hope to do so next year.

Lovely Family Holiday

We had a lovely stay in Mill House (2 adults 2 small children). It’s a great location to explore the surrounding area which is beautiful. There are lovely beaches nearby and plenty to do. The children loved feeding the animals in the mornings and the play barn was extremely useful for keeping them busy. Christina and Richard were extremely friendly and accommodating and we’d happily return in the future.

The Best Wedding Venue in Cornwall

Reviewed By CallumSm1th

We couldn't possibly put into words how amazing our day was because of the fabulous work Trevnna put in. From the very second we saw Trevenna online we knew we had to get married there and we didn't regret one second that choice. The stunning location and secluded nature makes it a perfect getaway and the perfect chance to have a close weekend with your guests where you can take it slow and really take in evey moment. The accomodation on site makes it feel like such a close event and you get the extra opportunity to spend more times with your guests making it even that little more special. We have to give a special mention to our wedding host Jordan. He was amazing right from the start and within minutes of sitting down had calmed our nerves and had us laughing. Throughout the entire weekend he was attentive, welcoming and had ours and our guests' best interests in hand at all times. I have no doubt that the work Jordan put into our weekend made it better than we ever could have imagined. As impressed as we were with the food on the tasting day, we were beyond blown away with the quality of every dish across the whole weekend from the scones on arrival to the breakfast on departure. Our guests could not compliment these meals anymore. A special thank you to Trevenna for catering so well to our guests with allergies and dietary restrictions, I think our favourite quote was a guest with restrictions saying "he ate like a king all weekend". Something that not all venues/caterers would be able to achieve. Every member of staff was incredible throughout the whole weekend. The bar staff had guests in stiches, your gardeners/groundsmen were giving private tours of your gardens and chatting through flowers and vegetables eager to keep our guests entertained. We wouldn't be strained to find great things to say about every staff member we came across. If you're considering or questioning whether you want to book this venue, do not even question it, go ahead and do it. Rain or Shine having your wedding here will make it the best day of your life.

Incredible place - our family loved every minute…

In short, our stay exceeded all expectations (which were already high based on the website and incredible photos); don’t hesitate to book up and enjoy it too. You will leave having had an incredible, relaxing break having spent time in this lovely and secluded setting. We stayed in Eucalyptus Lodge. The standard of accommodation and attention to detail is very high. It is decorated very tastefully. The beds and linen are high quality, the kitchen is brand new and fully equipped (…far better than my own!), wood burner for a cozy evening inside or blankets if you want to wrap up outside and enjoy the setting. The hot tub was a massive hit too after days at the incredible local beaches. A massive bag of logs provided with more available. Fresh ground coffee, nespresso machine with pods, dishwasher tablets, washing liquid, milk in the fridge on arrival for a cuppa. Baby cot and kids toys also on hand in the lodge (all of which saves on space when packing). All of these touches helped to settle in with no fuss and get on with enjoying family time - no supermarket dash immediately needed! There was also a lovely basket of local produce and walking maps also on arrival. The atmosphere of the whole place is spot on - secluded and private set within well tended mature, spectacular gardens of 9 acres, with bright bursts of colour and a sub-tropical feel, and lovely subtle lighting in the evenings. There are also rope swings, a play area and plenty of adventure and exploration for the kids to burn off excess energy. Not to mention a camp fire within the gardens for toasted marshmallows. There were also free range chickens, a cockerel, ducks, bee hives and a field of neighbouring cows for little ones who love animals. Paul and Julie are incredible hosts and struck a perfect balance of being attentive and welcoming, whilst also not being OTT (nice and relaxed!). The check-in process was seamless and the neat touch of having an 90+ page e-guide (which can be downloaded to your phone) covering everything you could possibly think of from info on the property and facilities, local attractions, shops and amenities, to beach and restaurant recommendations. It made things super simple and easy to plan incredible days out and lovely meals. Kingsbridge High Street is thriving with independent shops, local produce and cafes. It is only a 10-minute walk from Lower Coombe Royal (if that). This has set the bar very high in terms of future holidays. In fact, we may save the disappointment and just come and stay again! Cannot recommend it highly enough. Fautless. Five stars all the way…

We have just spent a wonderful week at Compton Pool Farm. We stayed in Bow cottage which has everything you need for your sty and is cleaned to a high standard. We faced out onto the grass so were able to enjoy seeing the animals across the way. Gulliver (the goat) made us laugh many times watching him get up to his antics. Each morning we went over to see the Pigs, Goats (large and small), Rabbits then on to the Small lake to see the Ducks and ducklings (if you have small children everything is fenced for safety). before we headed out for the day. The accommodation has everything you could want Paul and Debbie (the owners) are doing an amazing job with all they provide. There is a games room with lots of board games and CD's, Table tennis, pool table, TV, table football these are all free. If you want to play Air Hockey there is a charge of £2. The swimming pool is well looked after and a nice size with loungers on swimming pool patio if warm weather. The gardeners keep the gardens pristine and like all the staff working there they are very friendly. Sue and her husband sorry forgot his name were always helpful and Sue's coconut cake placed on tray when we arrived was delicious. We have already booked for 2023.

We really enjoyed the farm animals tour, and the games room, it's a great place for families and children to stay. We will be back!
