On a recent holiday we ate here several times as we found it very good. In particular, the waiters were very welcoming, remembered ones preferences and were necessary explained the food. Food itself was good. Meze portions were large (and tasty). Lovely raised Terrace to sit out on warm evenings.

We ate here twice recently. Personally, I was rather disappointed. It was perhaps because I chose my dishes poorly but the two meals were the least enjoyable, from a dining perspective, that I had in two weeks in the village. That said, it is pretty popular and has a good seafront location. Other reviewers seem to have enjoyed it.

Back again at Lesvos this year. Although we stop at Anaxos, we always make our annual pilgramage to the Exodus. There's always a good welcome here from Theo and his team, a generous helping of ouzo with snacks to accompany, and a good choice of lunchtime food - create-your-own omelettes for us today. A lovely chill-out experience, even if the weather's on the dull side. We'll be back next year

Best food in Anaxos. All the dishes are beautifully prepared by Tony and service buy Frank and Stephoula is excellent.
All dishes are fresh and flavoursome with great ingredients and lovely touches. I recommend the lamb shank and the fisherman's basket, but you would not be disappointed with any dish in any course.
We ate here four times and each time was special
A must visit if you're staying in Anaxos or locally round Petra or Molyvos

It was a busy night so this may not have been a true reflection of the place in general.
Food was ok, my wife had stuffed squid which was awful but my lamb was tasty. Lots of food for the price, although lady short changed me by €10. She did apologise when I'm pointed it out to her. Not sure I'd go again as lots of other choice in short distance.

If you want to have an experience as close as to home cooking and family experience, this may be your place.
Affordable choice, untouched by the touristic pretentiousness.
Some dishes are made on the traditional local way, and may taste not as you are used to, by the massively touristic greek style tavernas.
May be your choice if you are looking for low price range, genuine greek food.
I am not sure if I would return though.
I worths to try it, at least once.

Can't rate this restaurant too highly. We chose simple local dishes - beetroot, olives, tzatziki and chicken in the oven - and every one of them was outstanding. The beetroot and olives came from the owner's own farm, and service was warm, friendly and attentive....MoreThank you!!!

You are made very welcome at the family run Akti bar
We had breakfast here most days and the food is freshly cook and really good value.
Breakfast we had ranged of various omelettes,English breakfast, Mediterranean breakfast, crepes sweet and savoury,and just plain old toast with fresh orange juice and various coffees, try the double Greek coffee if you like it strong.
We used the Akti bar in the evenings, again you are made very welcome by the family.
They service great cold beer house wine, red and white was very good value and the cocktails are the best in the square, all made from scratch and loads of alcohol.
There were 4 in our group and all agreed we received excellent friendly service and excellent value on the food and drinks.well pleased

Had dinner here last night, first dinner in Lesbos, and we were not disappointed. I had a lamb dish that was baked in paper in the oven, brilliant flavours and so tender, my other half had fresh fish which he rated as very good, we shared a very generous Greek salad. Also had some very good, inexpensive, local wine.
Service was friendly, helpful and efficient. Lovely spot sitting outside in the town square.
