Lesvos is a great island for bird watchers, wild flowers and for walkers. The amazing wild flowers and orchids are a real bonus for walkers. Old donkey trails are a pleasure to walk and there are so many on Lesvos. We used the Landscapes of Lesvos walking guide which guided us through many beautiful walks.p

This is the beach where most of the tourists go. It is not a bad beach, but you will not see many locals here as there are many other nicer and smaller Beaches tucked away just a few minutes outside of town. The best thing is that you have many places to grab a meal.

Strongly recommended to go to this bay during off season.Driving through the bay side roads you are going to see many small bays with some nice sandy Beaches and crystal clear water.Most of the times sea is like a pool and you may not enjoy swimming here as you can feel like you are in a lake.Plenty of facilities available to accommodate and dine.Recommended

This valley is my favourite in the area. The surface of the track worsens each year though and this year was no exception. Our little car managed the drive pretty well though. A delight to eat our picnic at the bridge at the head of the valley

While touring in Kallonis main road, you are going to see this information house a little bit off the city center.There are plenty of informative material which will help you with yr investigations,researches and local trips for bird watching etc.Recommended.
