Sint-Martens-Latem (Dutch pronunciation: [sɪnt ˌmɑrtəns ˈlaːtəm]) is a municipality located in the Belgian province of East Flanders, in Belgium. The municipality comprises the towns of Deurle and Sint-Martens-Latem proper. On January 1, 2006, Sint-Martens-Latem had a total population of 8,280. The total area is 14.34 km² which gives a population density of 577 inhabitants per km².

This isn't your usual brasserie. But then again, Latem isn't your average Belgian town. So you shouldn't be surprised that the food and the prices are a little steeper than your average brasserie-food. That being said, I was more than happy to pay 30 EUR for my excellent piece of cod on a mash with spinach and shellfish consomé. The non-alcoholic Riesling also went down well. If the occasion arises, I'll be back to sample more!

Only been here twice, but both times were really good ! It's one of the more cosy restaurants in Latem, where you get quality food in a reasonable time, friendly service and a good selection of gin's - all for an acceptable price.
If you're looking for a good brasserie, you should definitely try this one.

We went for dinner and only had mains & desserts.
The food was excellent, we both had steak the portion was huge fortunately they allowed our small dog in the restaurant and she shared it with us.
The service was also excellent, a very extensive wine list covering all prices my partner had a 30 year old Brandy which was excellent, the price was reasonable for the age & quality.
Would definitely return if in the area.

Typical place for people with more money than taste. Stuck up and too expensive. Not a nice relaxed atmosphere as a real Italian place should have. A place more to be seen than to enjoy fresh and rustic Italian cuisine.
There are much less expensive restaurants nearby with a much more authentic feel.

This restaurant is nearly always fully booked, it is popular for couples as well as for groups. There is only a set menu with before dinner drink, wines, water and coffee offered at a reasonable price. The food is of good quality and the wines are abundantly served.
You'll need a car to get there however

A bit hidden small restaurant with Asian food in combination with Western touches. You need to make Reservations ahead because it is always booked. The host and cook always given you a big smile and loud laughter, which gives that little extra. Very nice dishes and well balanced in spice sand curry. I was very happy with the beef salad as starter, chicken in green curry as main course and panna cotta as desert. I surely will come back to this Asian pearl.

This restaurant is located in the posh outskirts of Ghent in St Martens Latem. The restaurant is romantic and very charming with a lot of character. You will be welcomed and served by the owner.
The menu offers typical dishes from the region. We opted for the "moules de bouchot",really delicious and so different from the typical Belgian mussels followed by a great steak and a rice pudding. There is an extensive wine list, great list with prices for every budget.
This is a good restaurant to taste local food and I will certainly go back when in the neighbourhood.

We had, as expected, again a very good meal. The new location is even better, the food is still delicious and service seems less nervous / more mature, and the location itself is very nice with a rather private terras.
The way of working is still the same- very limited choice, but everything you get is excellent.

We took the menu of 37 euro. It includes the apero of the house, with appetizers. Apero was a bit to sweet for us. If you like, you can choose another apero for the same price. Then a big plate of meze, nice presented and tasty, followed by a very big plate of different grilled meats, with green beans and a choice of rice, pommes frites...and a coffee for ending. Everything was tasty and you have to be very hungry, to eat it all.Do not expect something special, but a standard selection of greec food. Good quality.
