Pool side service is great and prices are still reasonable. Worked with Laura the concierge and she did a great job arranging a trip to Deer Island for us as well as our Covid testing. She was a pleasure to work with and look forward to seeing her next year.

Reviewed By guera2819Family Vacation with 2 Teenagers (17 & 18)- I have stayed at many all inclusive resorts and I have to say that this one is hands-down the best one I have ever stayed at. We stayed for one week with two teenagers. The service is excellent, the food is very good, the resort is very clean, room service leaves the room beautiful, anyone you ask for help is always happy and willing to help with anything, cleanliness around the entire resort was excellent, access to clean bottled water was always available, the service personnel are very professional and it was a pleasure to stay at this resort. There is a pharmacy across the street which sells sunscreen and other medication‘s. This was definitely helpful. There is also a 24 hour XOXO right across the street. Recommendations: Go out early to reserve cabanas and good poolside seating. Take a day trip to this resort sister resort which is Emerald Bay. There is a shuttle that goes daily and returns on the hour. You do need to make a reservation with the concierge to make sure you have a seat on the shuttle. That is what is equally beautiful if not more it is very big and very serene. You can enjoy all of the all inclusive benefits at that resort as well. ** I want to give a special shout out to the Pueblo Bonito Mazatlan resort team. When I had booked this reservation I had a 17-year-old who then turned 18 upon staying at the resort. When we got there they were able to accommodate his change of age and give him an adult wristband. This made a big difference as he felt it was proper for his age and not wearing a kid bracelet. Being said you can drink alcohol at 18 in Mexico. He was able to enjoy this amenity under our supervision. Thank you!!! We will definitely be staying again!

Although Kelly’s bar is a little outdated they have an amazing staff! Each day I was greeted and most welcomed by Andres, Oskar, Fernando, Juan Luis, Jorge, Carlos, and Alejandro. These gentlemen made it a point to even memorize our names and always take care of us each time we come. Only thing missing was chairs at the BAR TOP!!!! Safety for guests is at the top of the list. Javier and Gerardo bell boys for providing rides to and from the lobby so thoughtful!! 10/10

Upon arrival, we met the manager Arnuflo who learned it was our anniversary and decided to upgrade our room to help us celebrate. When we got to our room there was balloons and a note for us! It was so sweet! The room was AMAZING! The bigger balcony, the hammocks, we spent majority of our time that we were in the rook, on the balcony. Absolutely amazing views, the staff was very patient and nice. My Spanish is definitely not the greatest, but everyone took their time to listen and understand and was just fantastic. Our house keeper was fantastic as well! Just an overall great great trip! Arnuflo and his staff are fantastic, and for us, his English helped us TREMENDOUSLY. Highly reccomend staying here for those that may not be the best with Spanish! The staff still treats you great! Thank you all!!

Changes at The Palms
Reviewed By csquareI stayed at The Palms for 7 nights in early November. I have stayed here many times over the years, at least 15 times. I have always given good reviews of my stays. The recent sale of the hotel has brought some changes, not all of them good. They have changed out the lobby furniture, more informal, less classy. The addition of the Panama Restaurant has brought many more people to the property, many who are not staying there. Good for the hotel I'm sure but more crowded for guests seeking tables at the outside restaurant, etc. But my biggest disappointment was that they hosted a wedding on property at the pool that went to 11 o'clock. With live music blaring into everyone's room! I thought the band was done until the wedding party brought up a banda group for the last hour from the beach. I'm sure it was pre-arranged. Oh brother. I can't believe the hotel management thought so little of its guests to allow this kind of noise late into the night. There was no way to sleep during this event in my opinion. I should have complained to the management but did not and that is my fault for not doing so. Maybe they would have given me some consideration on a future stay. I usually stay on weeknights only and this just reinforces that weekends are not for me at The Palms.

Three days a week 200 cruise passengers learn how to make salsa and then hang around the hotel for the rest of the day until their ship leaves and instruction is done loudly over a sound system in an open portion of the restaurant so echos throughout the resort and pool area! The resort as well as most along the Zona Donada offer all-inclusive, minimal weekend rates so the resort is overflowing and service not great! The resort is perhaps recouping some of their loses from the pandemic but at the expense of international travels looking for a nice vacation! The weekends are loud, loud, loud with bands playing until 1 am and the noise echos up the open atrium which runs from the main floor to the 12th floor. Impossible to sleep! Starting mid afternoon multiple bands compete along the beach front and produce mainly racket! So if you are looking for a relaxing atmosphere this is not the resort for you!!!

Reviewed By grailedisthebestAdult pool is less crowded than big family pool. Pools were both fun to swim and jump in. Dinner reservations had really good food at all restaurants. El Moro is definitely the best one to stay at out of all the El CID resorts. Only complaints are that there’s hella birds on the El Moro beach and they crawl over all the tables and poop everywhere. Also the breakfast and lunch buffets weren’t the greatest, but certainly not the best
