Also, very clever parking system (you can enter only with a chip. Value for money option in my opinion. We haven't tried the pool as it opens in June and we were there on May.

Viglatoras is a boutique B&B/Inn that offers great accommodation in Poroia, Lake Kerkini. The building is a fine example of traditional architecture, and enjoys a privileged location overlooking Lake Kerkini. It started its life many years ago as an inn on a busy caravan road. Later, it was used as a home, and has now reopened its doors to travellers as a small, boutique inn.

It wouldn't be possible without you. We loved the way you support local people und respect the mother Earth. The surrandings are great espacially for birdwatching. We also liked breakfast with plenty of Greek specialities. The vegan chocolate cake made by Christina is a must.

Reviewed By gelu77The best motel hotel ever i see magnificent is little castle.. if you came night is spoky like in horror movies nobody on road a little village only 8 km between customs with Bulgaria you didn’t aspect some hotlw to be in a little village like this many Taverna in 20m and very good food and cheap ..rooms and hotel Splendid is a retro vintage like xv century and very clean and water and very good wine from the house free.. Oooo and don’t forget brekfast included and you pick what you want to eat and is served in the room like moost big hotels only 40€ per night 3 person room

Reviewed By ignatescua2014I wholeheartedly recommend you to stay at this hotel, it's something you rarely meet, you have the impression that you are staying in a castle, it is located in a mountain area with a great view, medieval style furniture, very clean, everything tastefully decorated, very friendly staff! Food is diverse and very good!

The traditional guest house consists of four rooms and a common area of reception and breakfast. It is built entirely from local stone and wood. Our rooms are spacious, offer modern amenities and are equipped with fireplaces; their high quality furnishings and the exceptional décor create a feeling of nobility and peacefulness, which makes them ideal for romantic evenings as well as relaxing moments with the family.
Nice decoration and friendly staff
Reviewed By simbalemimWe have been there for 2 nights. The room was nice warm and clean and the staff was friendly. The breakfast area was cold although there been a stove. We had breakfast with our jackets on. There was a small buffet with sweets bread marmalade and cheese orange juice and coffee and they bring you to the table one fried egg. In my opinion this was poor. In our room was a fireplace but other rooms had jacuzzi. I went for a bath and the water was really cold. The answer of the owner was that the rooms with the jacuzzis take all the hot water and it was finished. The services was low for the price.

bird watching tour
Reviewed By neilsumner123I was fortunate to stay at this lovely hotel on a bird-watching tour in mid May this year. Its is more than having an incredible view from the terrace and from many of the rooms or balconies. The rooms are spacious, well equipped and the bed was really comfortable. The only thing that woke me occassionally was the singing of Nightingales but even then with shutters and cooler I didn't have to have the windows open. The management and staff were so nice and helpful and worked really hard for us - catering for people's special dietary needs too. The breakfast just kept on coming! The food is home-cooked and very much of local type and flavour. We had Moussaka and other local dishes and a fabulous barbecue on one evening. It was a lovely stay and tremendous value.

Reviewed By NickNick815On arrival, in September, we had a problem trying to check in. Once this was sorted we went across to our room on the other side of the road which was not good. To make things worse we discovered immediately behind our room a dog tethered with puppies. The dog was in very poor condition, not happy and very hungry. And we had to put up with the stench as well as having to dodge all the poo. We reluctantly had a meal in the restaurant as there seemed little choice in the area. The only positive was the view from the restaurant otherwise not worth visiting.
