Beyond your wildest dreams!

This 'camp' (it feels weird calling something so luxurious a 'camp') is unimaginably comfortable, stylish, and hospitable. The tent was SO luxurious that I opted to not even go out for safari on my full day there, I wanted to soak up the sites and sounds from the room! The food and wine is truly top-notch, the service excellent, and you can tell that this camp is truly a labor of love from the owners and the staff. If you have the good fortune to spend time in the Serengeti, I can guarantee that The Singing Grass will enhance your experience. If you're going for that once-in-a-lifetime vibe, this is it!

Unforgettable stay right in the middle of the Serengeti!

Our stay at Meliá Serengeti was fascinating! We spent 3 nights of our honeymoon here and they were unforgettable. We even got to see the wildebeest migration right from our balcony. We loved absolutely everything, from the room, the meals, the views, and of course the amazing staff. Special thanks to Ally, Jesca, Frankie, ChaCha, David, and Fernando for making every moment more special than the previous. Simply the best. Thank you Meliá team!

Great but standard

If you are coming to the Serengeti and staying at the Four Seasons, you are probably looking for a Four Seasons experience, which this property certainly delivers. It's a standard luxury experience - spacious rooms, American-ized food, and good service. If you are looking for a truly once-in-lifetime experience, I would recommend staying at a boutique or tented camp experience. Rooms at the Four Seasons are very comfortable and the view of the plains from each room is incredible. We saw lions, zebra, warthogs, and baboons straight from our window - incredible. Hard to say if the location is good or not since the Serengeti is so large and you will spend lots of time driving on any game drive. Food and service were what you would expect. The one thing I always dislike at hotels like this is the tipping culture. It's very unclear how tips should be handled and it makes every interaction with staff feel transactional. I'm in the middle of the Serengeti - I didn't bring a ton of small dollar bills with me and I don't want to think about tipping for service every minute of my stay. The hotel should just clarify upfront that you can tip en masse at the end or just include tips in the cost of staying. If you're looking for a familiar, luxury experience, this is great. If you want something unique or with more local culture, you can do better.

Amazing experience with top quality service

Reviewed By ConorDeise

Absolutely unforgettable experience. In the heart of the breathtaking Serengeti, this place took me by complete surprise. I was expecting a medium quality camping experience but Osera achieved beyond my expectations. If anyone is familiar with glamping (posh camping), this is it except in the middle of the Serengeti. The tents have queen size beds and single beds (if required), a his and hers sink and fresh towels for the hot water shower also in your tent. The level of security is next level with an amazing level of respect for the animals. All signaling is done with a flashlight and walkie talkie, if required. As you dine in the impressive restaurant setting, one can hear the lions in the distance and Buffalo can be seen grazing. This is as real as it gets and is affordable, with quality and a level of service that is quite stand out. It is also worth mentioning that the level of English spoken by the staff here was a level above the other accommodations where we stayed. Cliche, I know but my only regret was not staying here for longer. Book Osera and you won’t be sorry.

Elewana Serengeti Pioneer Camp

Located in South Central Serengeti, within the Moru Kopjes area, Serengeti Pioneer Camp is ideally situated to offer superlative access to the annual migration and the ‘Big 5’ with sweeping views overlooking Moru Kopjes, Lake Magadi and the endless plains. Paying homage to the mobile camps of the 1930’s, a time when an African safari was truly a journey into the unknown, Serengeti Pioneer Camp’s ‘zero footprint’ and close proximity to nature combines to make an unmistakably distinctive and truly individual offering. Comprising of twelve-tented rooms, all of which have en-suite facilities including a flushing toilet, vanity basin, and showers, the tent interiors are designed to evoke the very best of an era long-gone but certainly not forgotten.

Experienced a secluded tented 4 nts amongst the kopje rocks, splendidly serene views, attentive staff and quiet moments. Wait and support staff always nearby wanting to serve was an added bonus. The chef creates beautiful arrays and listens to allergies/dislikes for meal preps. Highly recommend. Thank you Said (manager) for running a smooth and hospitable operation.

Great safari camp experience

Reviewed By ruterd2022

My sister and I had a great safari camp experience at Mawe. We arrived in the evening and was greeted by buffalos near the reception and near our tent. The tented camp was a complete experience. We heard hyenas and other noises at night but regardless we felt safe and slept well. In the morning, there were buffaloes, wildebeest and lions close to the camp. The meals were delicious and tented accommodation has all the amenities including hot shower. Staff was very attentive to our needs. Kudos to Ransom, Chris and team.

Overlooking a small river off the main road, it offers the opportunity to say good morning to a family of baboons and goodnight to the hyenas. The staff is very friendly, well organized and working extremely hard at making travelers feel welcome, safe and comfortable. Indeed, the spacious tents offer a comfort level close to a hotel room, all the time while being close to nature and the animals of the Serengeti. Highly recommend!

Tanzanian Hospitality in Tented Camp

Reviewed By LivingLovingItaly

We stayed here two nights with our Earthlife Expeditons safari. It’s in the heart of the Ngorongoro Conservation area with the most fabulous team caring for us. Omega & Athony and team were fabulous. They greeted us and met us after Safari with fresh juice. The location for early Safari is amazing. Tents have flush toilets, sinks with running water, & hot water bucket showers, WiFi in the dining tent & bar area was working fine. They serve a large amount of fresh food with gracious hospitality.
