Hotel complain

Fire alarm went off non stop the whole night. Tried to call the reception and no one answered. Barely got any sleep, service was also very poor. The receptionists weren't as helpful as expected from a 5 star hotel. Definitely wouldn't come here again since i didn't get my moneys worth a 5 star visit.

The Dusun

The Dusun is seven self-catering, socially-conscious eco-bungalows on a durian orchard. In 1984, our family began planting trees on this 12-acre lot. We now have huge trees, 2 forest walks, 6 bungalows, 2 pools, deer, chickens, fish and vegetables when the elements cooperate. The Dusun is designed after our family lifestyle of privacy, long talks, cooking up storms, beautiful views from open-concept houses and watching and listening to nature. It is the perfect place to spend quiet quality time with loved ones or by yourself. There is wifi in a common area and no TV in any of our bungalows. It is suitable for those looking for an off-grid nature experience. With bungalows on the top of a hill and wind off the forest reserve, we enjoy cooler temperatures at night. Each house has fully equipped kitchens and outdoor barbecues. We are committed to low-impact resort operations, hiring locally, supporting the community, composting, phosphate-free products, organic farming and air-cond free houses. We continue to nurture and sculpt our little piece of paradise with more forest walks, plants and animals.

Great way to experience forest & kampung life

Reviewed By wailun_ng

Our family of 2 adults and a child, stayed at The Dusun on May 7-8, 2022, and we enjoyed ourselves very much. It was both a forest and rustic kampung house experience. When staying at places like this, one must remember you are in the forest and you are in a basic rustic kampung type of cabin house. So beware: 1. Lots of insects and mosquitoes, although there were very few mosquitoes in the house itself. 2. Jungle is very noisy and you might not sleep well. 3. It's basic accommodation so don't expect luxury hotel and if you do, don't go. 4. It may be expensive as there are only 7 houses on site and during the weekdays, there may be few guests so all the cost must be recouped on weekends or holidays. 5. Waterfall was badly damaged by landslide in December 2021 so it is closed to all as it is still under repairs. 6. Cannot bring dogs or pets to hotels in Malaysia or elsewhere in the world. 6. Dusun provide most amenities but not bathroom toiletries - e.g. shampoo, soap, etc. so BYO. 7. No Airconditioning but so it is cool with the ceiling fans so you don't need any. 8. Jungle walk is not easy for children and some of the ladies.

I booked my room through Agoda. I paid roughly Rm54 per night. Very worth it for the money. Clean, has water coolers almost every corner of the building, has even ironing facilities. Tooth brush and biscuits with coffee provided. Only draw bck was the water pressure. Too low. Otherwise all was good. Was there for a night. Directly opposite jknns, where I needed to go. Convenient. Would definitely stay again

No foods serve after 5pm / No Security

Reviewed By DaveCSH

I checked in on 30/4 for a 2 nights stay. I only got to find out that there are no restaurant available after 5pm after I came back from my golf game. The only restaurant that cater for buffet dinner was fully reserved for Ramadan (fully understood). Got to drag my exhausted body and drive out to town to find dinner. Well, at least provide room service please. At 12am on my 2nd night stay, someone opened my room door! Upon finding, the reception at the check-in counter actually issued access card to my room to new guest and claimed they were not aware that the room was occupied! I’ve never encountered such incident in my entire hotel staying experience. Scary experience. Nevertheless, the Golf Course was pretty nice.

Nice simple hotel at a quiet corner

Reviewed By tahkhengsoon

This is a stand alone hotel, in a quiet environment. The room we had was comfortable and well maintained, & clean. A good stopover very close to the North-South Highway exit, which will be a plus point for travelers to have a rest before continuing the journey. That's what we did. There is also a boutique shop located just beside the hotel which is good for shopping for those interested to look at buying clothes at reasonable price.

Worst stay experience I ever encountered

Reviewed By JamesP642

This place should never be named a hotel, it is awful. I made reservation at the hotel before midnight and i pointed out i arrive 5 am. My stay was short. When i arrived, i contacted the hotel with whatsapp, they took forever to respond. I asked if they have an airport transpiration, they told me yes but they will charge me 22 Ringet and the shuttle come to airport every hour. I mentioned i like to use it however the hotel staff on whatsapp told me, i can't go on the next shuttle, i must wait 2 hours even if there is space on the shuttle to confirm my reservation. I took a grab (cost me 50 ringet). When i arrived to hotel, there were 2 ladies in front desk i explained that i have reservation, they told me sorry you can't check in we close it at 4 am, but we can charge you for new room. I got furious what the hell that mean i am here for 5 hours at most and i leave before check out time. When i got angry they told me okay we will check u in. They give ma key. I went to the elevator, went inside and clicked on the button but it didn't work, one of the staff was a nice girl and i like to point out she was the only nice staff i met in that hotel the rest were awful. she came in and tried to help me get up and apologized for the elevator. I went to the 1st floor (there is only 1 floor), i got into the room. the room was awful, dirty, sheets are yellow, worse part was the broken A/C. i went down and pointed the issue out, the nice girl came with me up and tried to fix it but it is all worn off. she got another key for another room that was also broken, then a 3rd room that had cockroaches inside. Then another room that she hardly was able to open, the place was awful but i got tired. I went down and paid for transportation with the rude staff and asked for shuttle at 11 and wake up call at 10. Thanks god i had my alarms on, they never called me. Went down to find out 2 new staff, i asked for check out and where the driver. They checked the sheet to find my name there then called driver to tell me sorry drive is not available he will be here at 12. Care to wait. One of the staff ignored me and went outside to smoke. Off course i couldn't wait, i ran out and took grab to pay more than 50 ringet back to airport. This hotel is so awful. You better off anywhere else, i also like to point out, it is not close to airport as they claim. 25 minuet drive is the distance between KLIA 1 and this place in an empty highway

Value for Money

Reviewed By atwinwin

The room is indeed clean and great. Hot shower and water pressure is good. The owner of the property is very friendly although he might look fierce at the first glance. By foot the property is quite far from major eateries, however, they are just a short drives away. Parking is free around the hotel area. The air-conditioning are slightly under-power for a spacious room, they do provide fan however it's only suffice for one side of the room. The feather pillow is slightly too soft, you might want to request for the normal foam pillow where they provide at no extra charge. Wifi is mediocre, barely loads up anything. Overall it's still a good choice for short stay in Seremban
