Reviewed By SethderevkoWe did not stay with the resort, instead we did a day trip and we opted the one day - 3 fun dive course. The staff friendliness really made my day for the whole trip, and the dive spot that they bring us is spectacular. We went to Mabul island, Kapalai, and did 2 fun dive. We didn't manage to do the 3rd dive due to the safety concern as our flight is the next day noon time. hence, it is not recommended for us to do our 3rd dive later afternoon on our trip. But we are brought to the Turtle cleaning station "lobster wall" so that we can snorkel and try our luck to spot any Turtle that swim around the area. We are not disappointed at all on that trip... Overall, an eventful trip with a bunch of friendly staff.

Owners are British, Chinese and Malaysian. Variety of breakfast options. Rooms offer twin/king beds or double family rooms and are airconditioned and have private bathroom. all rooms have access to a balcony/ terrace area which is a great place to hang out. Can also use the kitchen. 5 minute walk to the nearest tourist jetty.

AE Guest House in Semporna Not advise for a family with small children. Still upgrading for a lobby cum simple bar for hang out. Close to a tourist Jetty (easy for a boat transfer to several island hopping activities) -about 300m away. The nearby facilities i.e. local food restaurant, self laundry & a grocery shop. Can easily commute to nearby areas via Grab & also the nearby Tawau Airport (1 & 1/2hrs journey).

Fantastic place and awesome owners!
Reviewed By jonaN629ZAMy girlfriend and me spent two days in the lodge after coming from Mabul. The place is very safe and calm and the lodge is really clean and confortable. I highly would recommend it! The couple who own the bussines are wanderfull and the woman also gave us a meal that she have cooked for her family. She put the lunch to take away for us. 100% recommended! Thanks for all.

Best accommodation in Semporna
Reviewed By Carolina MWe spent almost a week in this guesthouse a bit apart from the city, which is good (Semporna is not too nice). We got all the facilities with the owner who is extremely kind and helpful, including free rides to the city. We had booked 7 nights through booking.com but then, when we arranged two nights in a tour out of the guesthouse he discounted them, so in the end we just paid 5 nights to him. We also had access to the kitchen so we could cook our own meals. This is a place that we definitely reccommend.

A clean, neat and quiet place for a good rest after a long day of adventures.. Host are kind, friendly and always helpful!

Place for Nature Lovers
Reviewed By Stac_TravelIt's the place for nature lovers, room is clean and cosy. Good place for families and friends to spend quality time together. Limited WiFi access, only available at the restaurant. Special thanks to resort's manager, Vincent for his impeccable service throughout our 3D2N stay. Despite it was peak season, he was responsive and able to resolve all matters quickly. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Food was good and we had an enjoyable stay.

Dodgy Hotel by night with comfy bed
Reviewed By KelvinLimShiJinDecided to try out Paly for 3 nights in the early Jan 2022. I remember passing by the outside which sadly looks kinda dodgy and old. I dropped by the reception/lobby area around 9pm asking if I could check in early the next day but there were nobody at the reception and 2 guys just chilling in the couch inappropriately. Luckily the next day when we arrive in the morning for our check in, it went smoothly. The reception, a guy and a lady was very helpful. They allowed us to leave our luggage at the counter since our room was not ready yet. And they also let us checkout late.. But when it comes to 8pm or later, they won't be around and nobody seems to be able to attend to you. We had a studio room which was cozy and just nice for the 2 of us. Bedroom was super comfy and the bathroom was great! Hot shower and high pressured water is always good. However, the couch we had in the lounge area was not the cleanest. You could see stains of coffee on it. The TV box did not had anything on it. And the cups were not clean. Other than that, it was alright. The location is quite good too as we could walk to Mcd, Shell and Laundry service. Do not get confuse with Paly & Neo Paly. They are 2 totally different hotels!
