Reviewed By SethderevkoWe did not stay with the resort, instead we did a day trip and we opted the one day - 3 fun dive course. The staff friendliness really made my day for the whole trip, and the dive spot that they bring us is spectacular. We went to Mabul island, Kapalai, and did 2 fun dive. We didn't manage to do the 3rd dive due to the safety concern as our flight is the next day noon time. hence, it is not recommended for us to do our 3rd dive later afternoon on our trip. But we are brought to the Turtle cleaning station "lobster wall" so that we can snorkel and try our luck to spot any Turtle that swim around the area. We are not disappointed at all on that trip... Overall, an eventful trip with a bunch of friendly staff.

The accomodation was clean and comfortable, the Diving equipments were well maintained, the dives were honestly the best dives ive ever been on. From the detailed dive briefs to sharing tips and tricks of being a better diver, couldnt ask for anything more! Shout out to Simon, Eric, And Khai for the wonderful experience at Sipadan! 11/10 would recommend!!! My friends and I are already planning for a trip back ???♀️

They provide free breakfast and the hotel is equipped with gym and swimming pool and kids would definitely love it! Seafest is the most decent hotel in Semporna with hot water that works, clean spacious room with coffee making facilities, safe deposit box & fridge. We stayed in family room facing the jetty and my husband enjoy watching the fisherman unloading tons of fishes from the boat every morning. However you can smell the fish if you’re at the pool but that’s not so bad given the fact that there’s market nearby as well. The hotel is also strategically located so if you plan on island hopping it would be very convenient. Lots of seafood restaurants with affordable price and cafes nearby including Starbucks, Secret Recipe, Tealive. If you want to try the local food, Semporna town is just 5 mins drive and if you prefer it is also walking distance. Definitely choice of stay for my upcoming trip.

Rather Usual
Reviewed By fredd0A rather normal hotel with above average rates. The location is convenient for nearby food, Giant for groceries, Watsons/Guardian beauty stores and pharmacy. It is also a 5 minute walk to the public jetty. The room is rather basic and small. There is no elevator so lugging your dive gear or heavy luggage is a must unless you’re in the ground floor rooms. Bathroom water pressure was good but the hotel needs a refurb. The bathroom was wet and not very clean. Sheets were thin and stained. Air conditioning was ok. We will look for other alternatives in future. It used to be good when new but it’s now not worth it given the high price and old facilities.

Reviewed By suangyao328Spent the happiest time of the year with Mabul Backpackers. Staffs are always cheerful, friendly, food are delicious, cleanliness is ok (for shared dorm), dive masters are friendly and experienced best value for money. The atmosphere and vibes were the best! will definitely stay with them again next time.

Reviewed By olundusLovely decor in this hotel. Common kitchen was a good facility to have. Lots of free books to read. Hot breakfast provided every morning. Stayed here 2 nights. Bedroom design is very good. Sufficient place to hang and store stuff. Spotlessly clean. Staff were helpful. Had a balcony in the common lounge where we could dry off our gear after island hopping which was great.

Fantastic haven
Reviewed By Siri HSuper clean, free coffee/tea, good configuration of rooms and space. Employees are very attentive, kind &giving of time & knowledge. We felt very comfortable- 3 females ages 9, 26, 50. Location has everything near. Why spend more? The cold water and fridge was a bonus especially after days of heat and no ither place like this.

Rooms offer twin/king beds or double family rooms and are airconditioned and have private bathroom. all rooms have access to a balcony/ terrace area which is a great place to hang out. Can also use the kitchen. 5 minute walk to the nearest tourist jetty.

AE Guest House in Semporna Not advise for a family with small children. Still upgrading for a lobby cum simple bar for hang out. Close to a tourist Jetty (easy for a boat transfer to several island hopping activities) -about 300m away. The nearby facilities i.e. local food restaurant, self laundry & a grocery shop. Can easily commute to nearby areas via Grab & also the nearby Tawau Airport (1 & 1/2hrs journey).

Reviewed By thekakitravelThis was my second time staying here. I really like this place. The staffs are all friendly and really helpful. Sure there's no reason of why I should hate this place. It's clean and it has modern design too. I asked all my friends to stay here at the time when we were here. Btw, there are many restaurants around.. It's easy to get a Grabtaxi from here.. And there's a laundry shop nearby ;)
