Restaurant was closed (inexplicably) but lounge bar was really the absolute worst. Dreadful smell and not particularly nice staff. Waste of a good location. Some brilliant Carloway entrepreneur should buy it and make it worthy of that lovely part of the island, grim at the moment.

This is a great place to sop over on the way to Port Ness/the Butt of Lewis. A lovely conservatory-style dining room offers staples such as hamburgers, sandwiches and pies, all well plated and delicious. We ate lunch at close to 2pm, so the dining area had largely cleared. We were in and out in 20 minutes.

We stayed in the hotel (group of four) for two nights. The staff were all so very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant was perfect, atmospheric, varied menu and the carvery was faultless. The bar once again faultless and the bar staff warm, chatty and friendly. Our two nights were over too quick to enjoy the hotel to its full. Thanks to all the lovely staff for our wonderful stay

Good restaurant which we ate at since we were staying in the hotel that the Eleven is in but can be very busy and noisy since it is open to the public as well as the people staying at the hotel. So if you are looking for a nice quiet candlelit place to go, it is not to be found here. However the choice of food is excellent, well prepared and covers most discerning tastes I would imagine. The staff are very helpful and friendly, but as with all hotel restaurants the drinks are not cheap!!

It's rare to be in a new town and fall upon exactly what you hoped would be waiting for you for lunch! The bar served excellent local beer. The restaurant - with a spectacular view of the harbour - was spacious and well-patronised by local people and visitors of all ages. All the staff were young and charming, welcoming and professional. We started with local mussels - probably the best we have ever eaten anywhere including at home! Followed by a large helping of delicious local haggis, black pudding and chips. A cup of really good coffee rounded off a very special meal.

We rushed off the ferry to have a bite before closing and found the HS-1 on Trip Advisor. My Mrs had a burger and I had the mussels in white wine. Dear God, I could have dived in and swum in that sauce, it was absolutely delicious! This is a nice little place for a bite, but wow, those mussels!!!
