'town (or burgh) of Helen') is a town within the Helensburgh and Lomond Area of Argyll and Bute Council, Scotland. It also has its own Community Council. Until local government reorganisation in 1996 Helensburgh was in Dumbarton District and hence also in Strathclyde Region; prior to 1975 it was a small burgh with its own town council within Dunbartonshire. In the Middle Ages it was within the Earldom of Lennox, an area sometimes referred to as The Lennox. It lies on the north shore of the Firth of Clyde and the mouth of the Gareloch is close to the western boundary of the town.

Deserves to be better known than it is, seeing as how on the night we were there a rival establishment across the road was packed out and the noise at a decibel level approaching ear damage. Not so the Logie Baird, just as contemporary of design, yet infinitely more tranquil. We were served by (as it turned out) a Saturday-only waitress so welcoming and attentive that she deserves an employee of the year, never mind of the month, award. Our meals were freshly cooked, piping hot, and generous of portion. The overall bill came to considerably less than that which we calculated was going to be due at certain other restaurants in Helensburgh, and yet the quality of the food could never have been any better than we found at the Logie Baird. Highly recommended: my burger was one of the best I've had the pleasure of confronting outside the US of A.

Used to live in the area, went for a visit with friends, I found that the food had gone down hill from when I used to visit in the past.We all had the baguettes, the coleslaw was the only nice thing on the plate, the baguettes we had had clearly been warmed in the microwave, they were dry and hard as was the chicken and bacon filling, the Doritos did nothing for the plate of food, we all said we would not return.Dear scotsrockchickThanks for taking the time to review our restaurant. We are slightly surprised to read your feedback as our baguettes are baked daily in the oven and do not go in the microwave. The chicken and bacon filling is mixed with mayonnaise so not sure why this would be dry. We stopped here on our travels and ate in the bar area as we had the dog. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating and Meg the dog enjoyed the biscuits on offer. We ordered a cheeseburger and a mixed grill which were both delicious! the place had modern decor with big comfy chairs and an open fire. We would definitely stay here overnight if we were in the area. Thouroughly recommend.Always great to hear positive feedback Kerry, we really appreciate you taking the time to review the Hotel.
