We have been lucky enough to visit the Scots Corner many times and the food and service is consistently brilliant.Our most recent visit was a Sunday that we couldn't be bothered cooking and we remembered that the Scots Corner did a "carve your own carvery".We popped round and decided to go for the 2 course carvery for 2.The service from the staff was friendly and welcoming and the food arrived quickly even though they were very busy.We both had the roast beef and all the trimmings as a main and we were not disappointed. The beef was melt in the mouth and the vegetables were very yummy and lots of different trimmings to try out.We then both had the same dessert too! Waffles with caramel ice cream. I'm not a huge dessert fan normally, but we both said it was delicious and I polished off the lot!Definitely give them a try if you are in the area What a fantastic review. Thank you so much. We visited on a very hot day with our dog. We were immediately welcomed with our dog and given ice cold water and a better seat to cool us down. Food lovely and friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Oh dear what's happened never have what we want no rolls had to ASK for barbecue sauce in my hunters chicken !!! Went back to kitchen food was terribly dry , not good , had a baked potato there recently asked for chilli , none available again at lunch time , supermarket just down the road if they run out of rolls no crisps and minuscule amount of salad also really gone down hill very very disappointingHi Carol L, we regret to hear that you are displeased with your recent experience with us. Great pint of Three Hop from Caledonian Brewery and a bowl of chicken broth as a side.Spent a good couple of hours here with the Woman's British Open Golf on TV as well.

A good place if you want pub style food. I had the vegan mac n cheese which was delicious. My husband had the chilli and tacos which he enjoyed. Small but not cramped, with delightfully fresh and unusual décor, offering a warm welcome and attentive service, and a good range of attractive menu options, with our choice from that proving delightful. We noticed other reviewers said they would be coming again. So will we!

So glad I poped in to the Northern Vaults on my visit to Montrose. Lovely welcome from the staff and nice relaxed atmosphere for eating. The Mac n' cheese was really suberb and although I doubted whether I could finish the huge portion it was so delicious I had too!!
