Reviewed By philtreagusSituated a short walk from the beach, the hotel is located on a quite residential road. We were greeted warmly and all the staff were friendly throughout the stay. The only disappointment was we arrived with a lot of luggage which no one offered to help us with as we had to do multiple trips in the lift. The room was nice but it felt a shame to be staying so close to the beach and not be able to see it from our balcony. We stayed in the junior suite, which was nice - the air conditioning and en-suite being particularly great. The breakfast in the morning was very impressive.

Reviewed By tshydeWe stayed for four nights and it was a good experience overall. What made it great was mostly the hotel and it’s amenities. Our room was excellent. Spacious and comfortable. We had a great view of the harbor and a large deck which also had a nice view. Housekeeping was great. There was also a much better than average work out facility, two very nice pools, and a beach club. The hotel and beach club were connected by a beautiful garden. The beach club didn’t have much of a beach, but it was ok. A series of cement and stone patios with stairs into the water. There was a good bar and lunch restaurant that serviced the beach club. The hotel has a restaurant which was ok, but not great. Mostly fish which was fresh and simply prepared. We ate there twice, but did have much better meals elsewhere in town. The restaurant was very traditional and probably hasn’t changed much for 30 years. Matre d takes the order (no one else is allowed to ) and writes it on a piece of paper which stays on the table. The waiter communicates with the kitchen and checks things off when they are served. Busters remove plates. All very orchestrated and kind of amusing. Women don’t have prices on their menus. We haven’t seen that for 20 years. My wife chewed them out, but they didn’t seem to get it. When we were there in early June, the vast majority of clients week Italian and there wasn’t a lot of English spoken by the staff. If there was a communication issue they would find someone (usually some kid) to help. It all worked. The hotel is convenient to town. Overall it was a good stay. We would return.

Breakfast great and staff all so friendly. It was worth paying a bit more for this hotel and the private beach. We will definitely be back!

Daniella and her son Sondro were excellent hosts from the warm greeting we received the minute we arrived to the sad arriverderci when we left. We reviewed our daily itinerary and restaurant choices with them every day and their recommendations were always excellent. The hotel is small, clean, simple and quiet. Just like home! The breakfasts on the outdoor terrace were a beautiful start to our fun filled days visiting Portofino by bus, the Cinque Terra by train, San Frutuoso and Camogli by ferry and the beach by foot. Thank you for a memorable 35th anniversary celebration in Italy!

Modern hotel in Santa Margherita Ligure, the BEST WESTERN Hotel Regina Elena is located on the lovely sea road leading to Portofino, with charming panoramic view. The garden leads directly to the nice private beach, with restaurant and bar. This property is open all year round and has a large covered private parking at a nominal fee. Solarium on the roof top (open from May to October), with heated swimming pool and Jacuzzi, to ejoy the wonderful view while relaxing under the warm Ligurian sun. Comfortable rooms, most of them with balcony and sea view, free wi-fi connection in the main building and beach.

A special shout out to Alice who was very helpful, patient and informative. I would definitely stay here again. Rooms were comfortable, breakfast buffet kept us full and the walk into town was easy and short.

Both areas very well maintained. The staff throughout the facility were wonderful, polite and professional. The room itself was elegant with Bulgari amenities. Very highly recommended!

WELCOME TO BLU DI TE HOUSE. Once it was an old Ligurian house. Today it's an atmosphere space, where Tigullio's Gulf perfumes meet a sophisticated mix of European design vintage objects. A fully restored hotel, crossed by a stairway that plays with antique bricks and suffused lighting. Authentic floors in turquoise, pale rose, grey and total black "cementine". Ligurian woods and "seminati". Almost 2 years, many people and selected artisans to accomplish a fine complete restoration.

Reviewed By mariecarolinekWe visited Hotel Blu di Te for our honeymoon and it was wonderful. The staff are so friendly, they are always willing to help and want to hear about your day. We got excellent recommendations for dinner and places to visit and they gave us tips on how to travel easily. The rooftop terrace is lovely and even if you don’t use the pool it’s worth sitting up there for drinks and aperitif before dinner. The hotel is clean, the bed is comfortable and it often felt like coming home to friends after a long day. It’s tucked away down a side alley so was a bit tricky to find but it made it very quiet so was definitely worth it.

It is very close to the starting point for walks in the Monte di Portofino nature park and the embarkation point for boats leaving for the Cinque Terre. All 44 of the hotel's rooms have air conditioning, are equipped with every modern comfort. The restaurant "Da Alfredo", in the same building and separately managed. Scenic solarium and outdoor pool (open from mid-May to mid-October). Concessionary use of local beach and garage to be reserved..
Nothing to complain
Reviewed By leenan_11I spent one week in this nice hotel at the end of March 2022. Location perfect, nice view from my single room with balcony to the harbour. Staff also very nice and helpful. I hired an e-bike and they let me keep it in a small storage room near the reception and were always helping me to get the bike in and out. Breakfast was good and plenty and service great. The hotel was clean and spotless. I had everything I needed in my little but comfy room. The roof top pool area was also nice. The picture in the middle shows the hotel with the long orange marquess.
