Sant'Antioco (Italian pronunciation: [santanˈtiːoko]; Sardinian: Santu Antiogu) is the name of both an island and a municipality (comune) in southwestern Sardinia, in the Province of South Sardinia, in Sulcis zone. Went here during our honeymoon for my wifes birthday dinner. Great experience. Delicious seafood, nice atmosphere, and attentive staff.
We walked quite a long way to get there and it ended up pouring rain when it was time to head back to our place; seeing that we had a problem the server went above and beyond and drove us home.
Highly recommended this restaurant.
It was busier than expected on a Wednesday in the off season so would recommend making a reservation.
The appetizer platter for two is 7 different dishes and was the highlight.

Go with the right expectations and this place is absolutely amazing. U can't really say its a restaurant, more a huge canteen so if you are looking for a romantic dinner avoid!!! However if you are looking for some of the best seafood the island has to offer and u want to experience some real authentic Italian family vibe I would definitely recommend. All inclusive u get the most tasteful fresh fish to eat and even the wine is quite ok. Service is rushed considering the amount of guests there serving but very friendly and u can see that despite the volume of the place they like their job and product. I would say that the negative comments of people here mostly come from the fact they were expecting a real proper restaurant which again it is not! Once u try the food however u will forget you're in a kanteen, we definitely did and even enjoyed the Italian "loud' atmosphere.

Achille brings a breath of fresh air and innovative flair to Sardinian cuisine. Use of best produce and freshest ingredients. Everything served with an attention to presentation. Informal, yet attentive, service by young waiters with a ready smile. A plus for carafes of cold water with ice served liberally at no extra charge. The locale is not at the same level of the cuisine. The restaurant looks like an airplane hangar and the ceiling fans were totally insufficient to cool the room on a hot summer evening. An investment in air conditioning is essential.

Very swish interior. Vast choice of pizzas most with the option of saffron dough. Five different beers brewed on site. The service was swift and the pizzas excellent - the beers were pretty good, too! Well deserves its TA rating. Recommended

Ideal position for lunch, snacks and drinks whilst at Cala Sapone but the evening time here is really special. The sunset is wonderful and the atmosphere at Mario and Pinella is second to none; relaxed, all kinds of people enjoying themselves.
The food is wonderful, menu is well chosen and not fussy or faddy; just wonderful food. some of the best calamari I have ever had and the suckling pig is amazing. Pasta delicious and cooked to perfection too.
Mario is really un personaggio, welcoming and helpful with a great energy. The other staff are equally great and despite being super busy are very friendly.
If you are on the Island you simply must pay a visit!

Stranded here on sailing holiday due to bad weather but so pleased to find this gem of a local restaurant. Really friendly staff and the food is great. My wife and I had the the fish set menu and we couldn't fault it. courses included moules marinier, tuna pasta, calamari, grilled sea bream, all cooked beautifully. 1/4 litre of wine and coffee all for 25 euros. Great.

Rispetto a qualche anno fà in netta ascesa. Locale ristrutturato da cima a fondo, ben illuminato e ben riscaldato. Pizze eccezionali, sottili ma veramente ben cotte e ben farcite! Servizio molto cortese e tempi di attesa accettabilissimi. Durante il fine settimana conviene prenottare. Prezzi ottimi, di meglio c'è ben poco in zona. Unico neo, tavoli troppo ravvicinati ma comunque super consigliato.

We went as a family to this restaurant twice. Just off the main road to Cala Sapone.
Good atmosphere about 8pm, busy but not overwhelmed. Staff very good and attentive.
Excellent tuna starter and meat platter - starters are definitely big enough to share.
Pizzas very good. Fish courses excellent.
Price for 4 including drinks/ water etc €65-€85.
