Hidden gem
Reviewed By Marilu_KimonWe spent two wonderful weeks at Casale Donna Rosa with our three teenagers in August and only realised there were other people staying there at breakfast! Everything is new, orderly, clean, well-kept and mostly silent, the service is outstanding and goes far beyond what you would expect. The hospitality and discretion of the owner and staff are such that you will rarely encounter this standard of quality elsewhere. Breakfast is delicious, the garden very pleasant and the swimming pool is perfect and surrounded by old "trulli" and beautiful plants. They only serve breakfast and "aperitivo" on demand, but there are numerous fantastic places where to eat all around the area. One "trattoria" is particularly close to the Casale and was suggested by the owner; it was so good - far beyond our expectations - that we ended up having dinner there almost every night. There are a lot of beaches not too far away but they were all pretty crowded in August. The choice of cultural explorations is so vast though that we hardly missed spending too much time at the beach, Puglia is beautiful. We cannot wait to be back!

Reviewed By AJM67EdinburghWe enjoyed a delightful stay with proprietor Adriano and his team who made us feel wholly at ease and welcome in this stunning property. The rooms are exceedingly comfortable with lots of attention to detail alongside their grandeur. Dinner over two evenings allowed us to sample the Chefs take on traditional dishes from the Salento area cooked to perfection. The seared tuna in a herb crust was a memorable highlight. We also enjoyed relaxing on the terrace and in the beautifully laid out gardens and every effort was made to satisfy any request (even when it was not a request). Having discussed the soft fruits that we are able to grow back at home in Scotland, raspberries were conjured up for the following morning's breakfast. We enjoyed hearing from Adriano about the restoration of the Tenuta which has clearly been a labour of love and we certainly hope to return to Tenuta Mose on our next visit to Puglia.

Excellent spot to stop over
Reviewed By tjw1310A few miles out of gallipoli, this was an excellent stopover. Located just off the motorway, it was perfect for us as we were looking for a bit of peace away from the tourists. It only took us 10 minutes to drive back in to town for a restaurant. It was very clean, the host was lovely and the space around us was magnificent. Absolutely excellent value for money

Da Mesciu Nzinu is the best choice for your holiday in Salento thanks to its strategic position: not far from beautiful Salento’s beaches and coasts; you can easily reach many of the most important touristic cities of this land: Gallipoli, Lecce, S. Maria di Leuca, Otranto, Galatina, Castro; but at the same time you can relax and enjoy the peaceful countryside around the b&b. All our rooms are very comfortable having double bed, ensuite facilities (shower & toilet), freeview digital TV, free WiFi, room safes, mini fridge, independent entrance. At the same time they are furnished according to Salento traditional style and characterized by three different colours: one is blue as our wonderful sea, one is green as the beautiful countryside and one is beige as the practice of hunting. Three dimension which describes our amazing land. There is a big garden where you can relax and your children can play safely. It also offers barbecue, open-air shower, free parking. The last room is called “Rustica”, more traditional than the others, very spacious and bright, with two double beds, ensuite facilities (shower & toilet), freeview digital TV, free WiFi, room safes, kitchen, fireplace, independent entrance and garden with barbecue, open-air shower, free parking. You can enjoy a rich and varied breakfast with also traditional sweets and fruits. A careful cleaning room service is daily guarantee.
