A truly warm cosy welcoming environment with attentive friendly waiters. Could not have been more helpful in explaining the various dishes and responding to both of our dietary requirements, without demur when we went slightly "off piste" with the menu. Will definitely return next time.

I stay and dine at this this family run restaurant and hotel whenever I travel to the area for business. It complements the overwhelming beauty of the landscape with traditional Austrian decor. The small staff goes out of their way to make you comfortable, often addressing you by name. Everything I've eaten here has truly been 5 star quality. Tonight I had a weekly special of scallops with curry foam and spinach. The scallops were perfectly prepared, seared and tender. It came with a small appetizer of asparagus mouse that I really enjoyed. The wine selection is excellent as well.

Etwas abseits der St. Georgener Attergaustraße, aber in wenigen Gehminuten erreichbar, liegt das Gasthaus Löckherstube im Hotel Staufer, mit einem schönen Gastgarten am Beginn der Wildenhagerstraße.
Wir waren mit einer größeren Runde dort, ohne Reservierung, was aber nicht notwendig war, da der Gastgarten unverständlicherweise fast leer war. Sehr zu empfehlen Donnerstags der Garnelen-Abend, wahlweise mit 10 oder 7 Garnelen (zu 14,90 bzw. 11,90) inklusive Dips und Glas Weißwein! Kellner und Wirtin sehr gastfreundlich!

Had a late night dinner here with a friend. The food was very good, I would say great value for the money. Avoid the smoking area, this should ideally never be in a restaurant!

We were there on Dec 30 2015. Note that the restaurant is the breakfast and dining place of the hotel above. As we arrived quite late (9:30 pm) we were informed that the kitchen was closed and that only schnitzel accompanied by salad could be served. Nevertheless, the food was very good cooked, tasteful and one of the best schnitzels we had in Austria. Be sure to try the local red wine which is fine too! The staff was very friendly and they speak English fluently. One should be a bit patient as the restaurant was a bit hard to find: it lies a couple of kilometers far from the St Georgen city center and the road is not at all illuminated. Keep going, you will be rewarded!

we looked for something on the lake. so we found this one. the waiter/owner was very nice and friendly. food was also very good.
the place itsself is a bit old
but most of the places on that lake are old.
not the hippest place but nice.

I know this restaurant for almost 55 years. I know the entire family too. They really have amazing food of very good quality. Everything is fresh and tasteful. If you are nearby you will not regret to eat there. Also the home made palatschinken is just excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. the staff is always very friendly too. In summer you can sit outside in nice surrounding.

Nice restaurant with a local feeling, good typical Austrian food, not faraway from the lake just like 150 meters. The staff only speaks German and could be a bit friendlier... But overall a nice experience.
