Friendly and curtious
Reviewed By 815carlgMy spouse and I spent 9 days at the hotel. The receptionists are always encline to guide us, help organize activities in the area. The whole hotel is cleaned top to bottom every day, our room cleaned only when we needed. There’s a little kitchen where we can cook our own meals, or a restaurant on the third floor with a lot of options. We are used to have hot water in North America so the hot water tank system of the locals make us take a cold shower ?.

Nice and friendly
Reviewed By infoR7933LFOne of our stops back packing in Guatemala, we stayed two nights. Nice clean and friendly staff. Close to center and lots of restaurants close by. Also fairly close to take the boat to Santiago. Very close to tour operators.

4.5* excellent for the price but noisy
Reviewed By helelleA really nice hotel with a great location and for the price it was large with a private bathroom. It had hot water but unfortunately very little pressure. The staff were super friendly so no big complaints. I just can't give it 5 stars because the windows are single pane and don't shut that well so the town noise is crazy loud all night. I would still recommend this hotel and would stay again, just remember your ear plugs.

Reviewed By Greg GNice people, known family in the city. and Cheap and basic set up for budget travelers. Nice view on the lake and closer to downtown! Only annoying thing is that the internet is not stable... I would go again at this hotel.

Worst resort I’ve every stayed
Reviewed By rastarockstarrI normally don’t leave negative reviews because I’m a pretty low-maintainence, “go with the flow” kind of traveller - but the Sababa was by far the WORST resort I’ve had the displeasure of staying. First off, they have a very shady, CASH ONLY policy for paying for your reservation when you arrive (which wasnt stated anywhere on their website or Expedias site). And what makes it worse is they only accept $20 USD bills if you’re paying cash…wtf is that about? Also, they take your actual passport (they don’t make a copy), and put it in plastic binder, on the shelf?! (Not even in a safe!) You would think that is the worst of it, but my room had no hot water and the tub did not drain for TWO days! Please do not make the same mistake I did. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!

All of our rooms have luxury pillow top mattresses, fans, and a special kind of attention to detail that no other hotel in town offers. We are more of a boutique hotel and due to our small size we can better arrange activities and tours for our guests. Experience Lake Atitlan with us!
Delicious and Healthy Food
Reviewed By Lynne AMy mission teammates and I ate 3 meals a day for 6 days and enjoyed a variety of authentic Guatemalan foods and healthy eating. The owners are very pleasant and accommodating. Loved the fresh squeezed orange juice each morning with diverse egg dishes. The servings were very generous. They always offered us an assortment of teas and juices each meal. Dined in a peaceful, quiet and clean atmosphere. The establishment also offers a gym and hotel accommodation. Highly recommend dining at El Delfin.

An authentic Guatemalan stay with a lovely family!
Reviewed By Emma PA simple but comfortable and clean place to stay in San Pedro. 10-15 minute walk to the centre and we preferred that. A 2 minute walk from the hotel down to the lake. The family who run the place are really lovely and helpful, staying here gives you a real feel of local Guatemalan life. In terms of value for money it’s got to be unbeatable in the San Pedro area. We really enjoyed it and would stay here again!

Good place to stay!
Reviewed By jenn-ac-1993We stayed for a few nights and had a nice time. We had an upper level private room with incredible views over the lake. The room was large, spacious and clean and the bed was comfy. The rooftop terrace for breakfast was also a great addition! Only thing that let this place down was allowing really, really loud music on the rooftop late into the night several times - it didn't help that it seemed as though it was the owner and his friends who were visiting that were the ones causing the issue.
