Reviewed By gemidoWe stayed two nights. Hard to fault. Well heated and comfortable. My friend thought his single bed mattress was not so great but the double was good. Easy walk to restaurants and main square. The staff were very helpful. Most things worked. Recommend

Reviewed By mbaelaporteWe arrived in town late ( in high season ) and this was first place we inquired about. The first quote was way more than we care or are accustomed to paying. We spoke of other options and my wife asked if they would lower price and they did by app. one third and considering the popularity of town and high season we chose to park our family of four ( and big backpacks ) and spend 2 or 3 nights here. Our room was fine and the rest of the accommodation was more like staying w / your favorite sister. Marta conditioned my mate ( vessel, cup ) , provided excellent breakfast and their beautiful living areas /dining room were there for us to enjoy. We were off running around but she also would provide other meals if visitors cared to partake..New Years Day night there was a long table of guests of lodge and family having a grand time. A well furnished bar is also on premises. I wish all lodgings could be so pleasing ! ( free large monitor computer / internet also )

Great Boutique, Budget Hotel
Reviewed By Danielle MThis little hotel is wonderful. For us it was perfect. Located in the middle of the town of San Martin de los andes. Very helpful staff and very clean accommodations. Breakfast was complimentary and there was plenty of food always. Parking was ideal in a gated lot behind the hotel. The room was just enough for two people. Not modern but very clean and had a working bidet! There is an elevator which is very convenient. My only caution is that if you are staying on the weekend it would be best to bring earplugs. There is a club across the street that plays music very loud Friday and Saturdays, which of course they can't do anything about. Other than that it was perfect. We would definitely stay again!

Reviewed By CharlieOrlandoQuiet and clean and just a couple of blocks off the main drag of San Martín, the Esquiador is a good option. It provides secure parking, although seems like might be insufficient if the hotel is full. The rooms were normal size and comfortable. I don’t think there was an elevator, if that is important. There is nice common space in the lobby, if you don’t want to hang out in your room.

Hot shower Cyclist friendly Adequate breakfast - ham, cheese, jam, bread, toaster and croissant- tea, coffee juice or water frequently stocked. Good value and excellent location, clean room with a daily service with clean towels. Has a restaurant for dinner if needed ( we chose to explore from the many restaurants nearby in town) Really enjoyed our stay, though we speak little Spanish we managed to get by perfectly.

We stayed at several places in the Patagonian lake area on our trip, and this was the only hotel that disappointed. We had a room on the lower level. The lower level had a musty aspect to it, and the room was way overdue for a refresh. The shower was stained and not very appealing. Breakfast lacked variety, and what we did eat was not very good. On the upside, the hotel is just a short walk to town, where there are many nice shops and restaurants.

Reviewed By LaGugusWe spent a very nice one-week holiday at Plaza Mayor and recommend this place to other guests. For the detail: Location: Plaza Mayor is located in the center of San Martin, just four (short) blocks from Plaza San Martin, and within walking distance (5 to 10 min.) of many restaurants and shops, as well as the bus terminal and the lake. Despite its convenient central location, it is located in a nice and quite residential neighborhood, with lots of flowers and trees. Service: It's a family-run hotel. The owners are very friendly and fun. Reception is staffed the whole day (until 10pm), and the owners go out of their way to assist in organising activities for their guest. They gave us excellent tips for restaurants and day activities, and helped to organise a horse ride. Breakfast: An excellent Argentinian breakfast (media lunas, cakes, toasts, ham and cheese, fruit) is included in the room rate. Rooms & Amenities: Our room was very spacious and located on the first floor directly under the roof. Despite that, it did not heat up a lot with the sun; we did not even need to use the air conditioning. The roof pitch was not very convenient for my husband, who is very tall, but I assume there are also rooms with no roof pitch. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the shower working well. The only thing that did not work so well was the toilet flush, and the water taps were too short to fit both hands. Worth mentioning is maybe also that the room had a carpet floor that seemed clean but stained. I would prefer hotel rooms to renounce to carpet floors, but I guess that for winter holidays, they have their merit. Common areas: The hotel has a nice pool area with tables and sun loungers. We did not use it, but other guests seemed to enjoy it. Inside, there are several spacious and comfy common spaces with sofas.
