Amazing stay…
Reviewed By karenebsWe recently stayed for four nights at Sami View. We can’t recommend it enough. John and Vicky are amazing hosts - so hospitable. The accommodation is spotlessly clean and very spacious and comfortable. Also the best shower - great water pressure. The pool area and gardens are like a tropical paradise. It’s also a great location for travelling around Kefalonia. You won’t regret staying here … we are already looking forward to our next visit.

Nice place to stay, value for money

You are probably paying %30 less than a regular fare of a 3 star hotel in the region and rent a good space as clean as it can be with free parking and a patio. The owners are very nice people trying to be as helpful as they can be during your stay. Yes you need a car bur that's valid almost for all facilities in Cephalonia if you want to visit various treasures like Antisamos Beach, Myrtos Beach and Argostoli. I'm quite happy with what I get against what I have paid and definitely would recommend the place ...

OK for stopover but not longer stay
Reviewed By sillyolddufferStayed for just one night to be ready to catch ferry following day. Very pleasant owner and well equipped studio apartment if (as is often the case in Greece) a little dark and aging gracefully. Good position for ferry less than 1/4 mile away.

Extremely clean accommodation
Reviewed By 2catsukJust returned from a 10 night stay at the Nikos appartments in Sami. Having seen a couple of previous negative reviews we were a little apprehensive about our stay but gladly we should not have been. On arrival we were warmly greeted buy one of the daughters from the family run property and promptly shown to our studio (room 9) Our first impressions where that the studio was very dated and in need of refurbishment, the beds were comfortable but the wardrobes and the kitchen units were quite shabby and needed updating, the bathroom was small but adequate and we always had add hot water at any time of the day, Bed linen was changed every 3 Days and bins were emptied each night while we were out and about. The studio was immaculately clean and the same can also be said for the rest of the property and pool area. The family were very pleasant and you will always see them around the property, we would often see the father tending to his garden and vegetable patch, the mother always seems the washing and one of the Two Daughters seemed to do most of the office work including greeting new visitors. The family are pet lovers and looked after 7 cats and one dog, you would also see them wondering around the property, they were very well looked after by the family and would never bother you. We may have been a little unlucky in getting the room we did as I understand most of the other rooms have been refurbished and I also understand the remaining rooms will be refurbished by the start of next year.. We have stayed in superior ccommodation in the past throughout the Greek islands but this was "Kefalonia" which had a fantastic traditional Greek "old style" atmosphere about it so overall we enjoyed a great stay at the Nikos apartments and would recommend them to anybody wishing to have have an extremely relaxed and quiet time. Infact at times we felt we were staying on our own as we would often have have the pool to ourselves which suits us down to the ground and makes a present change from having to try and find a sun lounger. Oh and for Sami its self we loved it!

Stunning views from spacious apartment
Reviewed By cmf747The owners were so friendly and could not be more helpful. We were moved to a top floor apartment with a large balcony as they were quiet. The place is spotless. We enjoyed the gentle walk into town and regretted not spending longer than our 2 nights here before travelling to Ithaca. Amazing value for money.

Great accommodation and good value
Reviewed By helens9753Good size apartment and an attractive apartment. Nice and clean and comfortable beds. Beach only 3 mins away. Friendly helpful owner. Area was lovely. Lively (in a nice way) Tavernas. Lovely beach and nice but hilly walking nearby. Flat long walk along beach with plenty of choice of interesting shops, cafes and Tavernas. Good for families.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Hotel does not follow basic EU safety regulations!
Reviewed By Imaan CI stayed in Ifigineia in Sami, Kefalonia which we booked through booking.com. The shower water in the accommodation was so hot that it scalded my hand giving me second degree burns to my right hand which has left me with restricted movement and potential scarring. We had to return to the hospital everyday for the dressings to be changed. This meant that we couldn’t do many of the things that we wanted to do whilst we were away. Let alone the agony and distress it caused. I have since looked at the reviews on booking.com and have seen a post from last year in which another person scalded their hand and yet nothing has been done to rectify this. We were given no warning about the temperature of the water nor was their a sign to inform us. I can only imagine what would have happened if I didn’t test the water temperature and put my body under or if this had happened to a child! In addition to this when you hold the shower head electricity runs through it and gives you continual electric shocks. The hotel owner only gave us a slightly reduced rate but this ruined our holiday! Hotel Ifigeneia is not meeting basic European safety regulations!! DO NOT BOOK!
