Not a resort - few amenities - more of a banquet hall with hotel rooms
Reviewed By amguest954This is my second time at this hotel and although it is very pretty, would not stay again. Spent a week here recently and had a genuine chance to explore the premises. Calling this hotel a 5-star resort is not accurate - this is a banquet hall with hotel rooms. There are very few amenities and certainly not reflective of a 5-star premises. I believe there is a spa but there was no info in our room about it. I don't understand other reviewers' comments regarding the amenities because we were unable to find many. There is no room service and no ability to obtain food or drinks during the day. Only continental breakfast (included with the room charge) and dinner is available (expensive but good). Get to the breakfast room early as they stop replenishing about an hour before they close the dining room. Service is very good, however. Staff are friendly and very pleasant. Rooms are large, clean and comfortable. Be warned - this hotel has various events but they won't tell you about them. We suffered through an ALL-NIGHT discotecque event with a SCREAMING DJ and ear-shattering techno music until 5 AM. We were not told of this event when we checked in and only when we specifically asked what the equipment set-up was for, were we told what was happening. IT WAS AWFUL - no sleep for the entire night - at a hotel! There were 3 other wedding events that same week but they were quiet. We booked the shuttle to use the beach facilities in Roccello which was great, however, the driver failed to show up at the pre-arranged time to pick us up. They did send the driver for the Italian party that booked slightly later than we did so we were able to use their shuttle. This is typical of Italy so we weren't surprised but really annoyed. The staff try to please but there's so little to offer at this place, they are limited. If you are touring the area and don't need anything during the day, this hotel is great but not if you want to hang around the "resort" all day.

Tall ceilings, chandeliers, balcony overlooking the Olympic-sized swimming pool, and manicured grounds, with a backdrop of mountains and the Mediterranean Sea. The breakfast was wonderful and dinner at the restaurant was delicious. It was also too fun to walk under the road through the tunnel (right to the side of the hotel) and emerge on a beautiful beach. Well-suited for families, the hotel can accommodate everyone - it's huge! Even the inside stairways are glamorous!

The Amphisya B&B is located in Roccella Jonica a splendid seaside town that overlooks on the Jasmines’ Coast. Here, you can find relax, enjoyment, good cooking, naturalistic and cultural excursions, and overall, one of the most beautiful view of the Mediterranean sea. The Amphisya B&B is placed in one of the old seaside town made of fishermen ancient houses from where little streets branch, called “wrinkles” that are viable only by foot or by bike. The beach is reached by foot from our house (the distance is 150 m.) that so can offer you the relax but also the squares and the seafront amusement.

Is placed very close to village center and sea and has everything you need- clean and fully renovated cosy rooms, air conditioning and great service. Valentina, the supervisor of the B&B was very friendly and helpful all the time and we really want to thank her for everything. The prices were ok and we can recommend to everyone who visits the village and needs a nice clean place for a stay.

WHERE WE ARE The Bed and Breakfast Ulisse is situated in Roccella Jonica, an attractive town leaned out on the oriental coast, in front of the splendid Jonio Sea, of 112 kms from Reggio Calabria, 68 kms from Catanzaro Marina (Beach), 83 Kms from Catanzaro Citta and 113 kms from Lamezia Terme. The Bed and Breakfast Ulisse is in a calm and privileged position because its on the first hill of Roccella Jonica, where you can admir the magnificent and splendid panorama of the City . There are four B. & B. rooms, elegantly furnished, comfortables, spacious and well you illuminated, they are divided on 3 floors of the house, they have prived toilettes with shower, TV, frigobar, air condition and net wireless. The B. & B. Is away 1.100 ml from the sea and to around slm 70, a few footsteps, Carafa Castle , that overhangs the whole town. The B. & B. Is movited of a car park.
perfect place to stay
Reviewed By rolmar73we were suited in one of rhe most beautiful rooms with terrazza and amazing view over the village Roccelle. The owner Mr. Santino is a very nice and complaisant person. Italian breakfast on the common terrace with the domestic kuckoo was good as everything else. ;)
