Clean, comfortable and friendly

We visited the Claxton hotel in May 2022 as a family group. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The communal areas and our rooms were newly refurbished with quality carpets and bedding. The hotel was newly decorated to a good standard. Breakfast was excellent with a choice of cereals, cooked breakfast and good coffee. The location by the sea and sea view from our room could not have been better.

Amazing value

We had the best time here. We arrived at lunch time and were able to park right outside the accommodation. As it was early, we didn’t expect to check in but just let them know we’d arrived and were leaving the car. Our room was ready though, so we checked in. What a lovely, clean room, it had everything you would need (even makeup wipes) with tea and coffee making facilities and it had a small fridge. The towels were so soft and fluffy, the bed was one of the comfiest beds I’ve slept in and even the duvet was comfortable. The owners are lovely and very helpful. Great location and would definitely stay here again.

Crap beer and freezing

Reviewed By Amanda L

What the title says... 2.80 a pint of fosters. Flat grim fosters, tasted funny aswell. Used the ladies at half 2 in the afternoon no toilet paper in the 1 I used. Lovely summer's day outside with a bit of a seabreeze all the doors were open but I think they may of had aircon on as it was freezing. Goose pimple freezing. But at least there wasn't the stink there usually is.
