We first came here for breakfast before going to the lake, there were only a couple of other clients but the chap that served us seemed harried and stressed. He all but tapped his foot while we looked at the menus. We ordered double espressos to give the poor chap something to do while we decided what to eat.One coffee arrived, then after 10 minutes, he brought the other one. Now I know I've been very spoilt living in France where table service is almost raised to an art form but... How difficult is it to bring 2 coffees out at the same time?They weren't exactly great either sadly.Still.. A couple of days later, I thought I'd take another chance and scope them out for dinner.I sat down and a smiling waiter brought me 3 menus, which was a really good start, unfortunately.. It went downhill from there.The same chap that served our coffees swooped over and all but bodily removed me from my table because he assumed I was alone. And sat me by the door... Where he could keep an eye on me? Who knows but it's not the ideal way to treat your paying customers.What he didn't realise was that I was waiting for 7 others to arrive..Needless to say we went elsewhere and we won't be back.

A bit slow, but it's understandable if you keep in mind they're preparing the food right at the moment, so very laid back. Good quality and nice portions.

The best veggie tacos in town, with great music and lovely staff! Francesca is the most amazing person we could have met in Bacalar. We definitely recommend that place and we´ll be back for sure !

Simple, straighht forward menu with traditional Mexican options. Abides to the motto "keep it simple, make it good". Cosy atmosphere, often full. The also have a small bar section where you can hang out and enjoy a frozen margarita. Affordable and great value for money. Can't go wrong!

Ww went for the view and were amazed by the food, friendly staff and awesome service. Cristian served us both for breakfast and dinner and was super efficient and friendly. The food was excellent and the prices were good. Definitely try the "Pie De limon frio" ... to die for.

Really nice, romantic atmosphere, and excellent service. However, the food was just okay and not cheap. The shrimp ceviche was fresh but had no sauce. The curry dish was described as a soup but the broth had no flavor. The bacon wrap was fine and the fish tacos were very good. So stick with the tacos and cocktails and you will be fine.

Came here after being all day at the lagoon and we had a good time eating their superb pizza and drinks.The staff was attentive and gave us some pointers to go around the place. My kids had the pizza, which by the way they have a bunch of combinations. And my wife and I some chiles rellenos.

we were hosted at Rancho encantado so we had a chance to go through the menu and we highly recommend the octopus and the filet mignon! the view is spectacular! We even had our engagement dinner there! they set a nice table on the privit deck and they make everything run smooth. Itzel was our waiter for that dinner and she was the best.

We had dinner and drinks, which was amazing. The food is cooked open air on fire, super fresh seafood. Delicious and extremely creative combinations, that you can probably find nowhere else. Special place for a special night! Diego was a very friendly waiter with very good English. Definitely worth a visit! The food is a 100% worth the money!
