A warm evening brought us into the historic streets of Bolsena - discovered this popular Trattoria with is outside tables. Service was prompt and attentive - girls were very helpful with menu - we had pizzas and they were huge organic shaped masterpieces. Gorgeous flavours with anchovies and mixed vegetables.Lovely evening with a pleasant outlook!

Getting in here requires planning and a reservation. Getting in the same night is difficult unless you know someone in town that can pull for you. It is easily the busiest place in Bolsena. The food was very great and the setting is wonderful. The menu is extensive so that it is easy to find something regardless of your Italian food interests. The crowd when we were there was made up primarily of Italian and German tourists. I had a great cream and sausage pasta primi that was unique and delicious among dishes I ate over two weeks in the area.

Stopped by Trattoria da Picchietto for lunch on the way from Rome to Florence by road.What an excellent decision on the part of our driver/guide.The food was excellent. Not to heavy with a great combination of the traditional appetizers and a nice combination of surf and turf.To add to the dining experience, we were seated outside under a canopy of grape vines with plump grapes hanging off them.Would highly recommend.

Great food served by young friendly waiters. Food was very good. I had goat kebabs very salty and fatty which is to my taste. Sarah had chicken also very good not at all fatty but quite salty. We both had delicious pannacota. I tried the 'real ale' which was 'Special Brew by any other name and undrinkable for me.

Don t understand the good reviews here. Interior seating, extremely noisy if the restaurant is fullOutside seating near the lake review.Waiters werekeeping themselves busy with regular clients and let is waiting for half an hourThe main was put on the table when we were still eating our anti pastaQuality of the food was not good. This is an average restaurant with good Italian food but not worth the hype.It's located in a beautiful olive trees field with a beautiful patio , so it has a great atmosphere in the summer if you reserve a table outside by the garden.But it's often overcrowded with screaming children and huge Italian families tables, so be aware. Food is ok , nothing to die for .

Ate here as a couple. Even though it was October, reservations were helpful. We enjoyed antipasto of polenta topped with various meats and cheeses, pasta with funghi and salsicci, tagliatta with cipolle, and a bottle of Moralino all for 48 euro. All delicious. Very interestingly-dressed male servers, almost an Alpine look with their little fedoras and suspenders. They are efficient and attentive. Look for the Osteria's sign in the small piazza near the west gate, you have to enter the alley to see the restaurant, although there is outdoor seating near the piazza.

Small little town I never knew existed, yet a restaurant that offers food and service you could find in a top restaurant in a big city! A very different menu but lovely experience. Stunning decor and brilliant service! Not a place for children however! But certainly a treat for a dinner out for two!Highly recommended!
