I arrived to this pizzeria at 4 o'clock after a long walk in the mountain to find it open and ready to serve when almost every other place in the town is closed for lunch break (Italian style). The Egyptian gu that own the restaurant can speak English too which made everything easier, and man he filled our stomachs me and my friends for a very affordable price. The pizzeria is open until late (11 o'clock) and is the only place that sell beers at this time in the night in the whole of Omenga.

This is a really rustic agriturismo above lago d'Orta in piedmont. A tricky drive or long walk upwards are both worth it for the view, the waterfalls and the delicious locally produced food. These are the slopes of Mottarone so leave Room For the mirtilli and lampone berries for pudding. Before that its spaghetti and plates of meats and cheeses with locally made pickles. And a huge amount of incredibly inexpensive red wine. So much that, when combined with mirtilli grappa, you may want to skinny dip in the waterfalls alongside the inevitable Germans. Great produce to take home for presents too.

Popped in to grab a bite and drink after a good few hours walking the surrounding hills of Mt Mottarone. Greated by friendly staff who quickly seated us and presented menus for us to peruse. We ordered pizzas which were freshly cooked in an open oven and served piping hot. Simple food is somtimes the best, tasted lovely and both plates were cleared which is always a good sign.Would go there again and recomend.
