It is worth the trip up the hill to visit this restaurant. The views are great and so is the food. A family run restaurant, it uses local produce to promote local dishes. The antipasto is a great sampler. We went back another night for pizza, made by Mamma.Try it.

The restaurant is where good food and traditional pizzas are served. The quality and prices taken in cosideration you get very good value for your money.The service and attendance is quick and polite.The restaurant is small and the old architekture with arches and vaults gives you the perfect surroundings for a good meal and a very good time.

During our holiday in the south of Italy, we visited some nice restaurants. Sans Souci, is without a doubt, a very, very good restaurant. We had a wonderful evening while we enjoyed the very fresh and very tasty fish dishes. If youâre in the neighborhood, donât hesitate, book a table!

Fantastic Calabrese cuisine, and a great atmosphere. Try to get a table outside on the patio in the summer. Don't get there too early ... ideally arrive at 9 or 10 pm to get in the place when it's in full swing!

As a couple, we went to this restaurant found on TripAdvisor and we had a really pleasant time.The waiters were very attentive throughout our stay. They were as good as the delicious dishes, tasty traditional food revisited.Couldn't wish better for a lovey night at Locri. Do not hesitate !Siete voi ad essere stati molto carini e simpatici , noi abbiamo solo fatto il nostro lavoro che con clienti come voi diventa anche più piacevole e divertente . un caro saluto da tutto lo staff

This home restaurant in Gerace serves typical Calabrian fare at very good prices. We were served an assortment of antipasti that were delicious, meats, cheeses, marinated vegetables, etc. followed by a variety of excellent primi and secondi. I had a delicious pasta dish for my main meal. My serving was so large that I could not actually finish all my pasta. Very good-- if I'm in Gerace again, I will seek this place out.

Gerace is a lovely town. Very few tourists make this place extremely special in beautiful Calabria. Not many restaurants around, but this charming wine bar called la Cantina Del Barone was a lovely surprise. Good food, good prices and excellent wines in a quiet place. Very friendly service.

I visited this restaurant today on the recommendation of my hotel. The food was excellent and I chose a very good bottle of wine intending to return this evening. However I was placed opposite a door from which a large group of children continued to go out and come in throughout the meal banging the door every time and the parents and the owner saying nothing. Finally after 2.5 hours I had enough. I had a headache and my lunchtime ruined by the owner and the parents of the children did not care. In addition the credit card machine did not work so I had to pay in cash, a current occurrence since cash is preferred. I live in Italy so am accustomed to eating in restaurants that are full of families that are vivacious and noisy but the lack of consideration here was unusual and unacceptable.

From the outside it does not look speciel, but inside it is a very nice restaurant. The food was terrific and the service was also superb. We had traditional Calabrien food and wine, and the waitrice told us a lot about it. We do not speak Italian and she spoke no English, but somehow it seemed to work. A place to recommend.
