Went here after I saw the recommendation on Anthony Bourdain's show. He was so right!This place is perfect! From magnificent service to food. Everything is top notch! I won't write you what should you try, because I'm sure that everything is great... Terrific wine list also. Priced very modestly for the quality on offer.If you happen to be in the area, by all means go!

This is a very simple litte restaurant on the main road from Faenza to Florence. The location is famous for the "Fiorentina" which is a steak like T-Bone. The meat is delicious and the price very good and chaper than other places around with less quality meat. We will come back.Many thanks for your review.

Ottima trattoria a caso la valsenio. Ampio parcheggio, locale ben curato e pulito. Personale cortese e servizio perfetto. A pranzo menù a prezzo fisso con ottime scelte ma anche altri piatti, sia di primi che di secondo.... tutto ottimo....

il chiosco e' carino , con attorno alberi , un piccolo parco per bimbi, e tante novita' , la piadina...beh qui e' riduttivo parlare di piadina, qui la piada e' regina , per impasti diversi , all'ortica per esempio, per farine e impasti nuovi, valida la pizza , affettati di qualita' come quella pancetta pepata che ho assaggiato con la focaccia (super )...birra piu' che vino, ma credo che vada segnalato per la ricerca della qualita' unita alla sostenibilita'....braviii

La location é molto amena nel suo complesso, trattandosi appunto di un bel poggiolo con tanto verde e sentieri di passeggiate nei castagneti. Una meta ideale per una gita fuori porta. Ci siamo stati una domenica a pranzo ed eravamo in 27 (lunga talvolta a L); per rendere le cose semplici, allâatto della prenotazione abbiamo concordato un menù fisso e siamo arrivati alle ore 12.30. Per iniziare, insalata mista e tagliere di salumi. Buoni i salumi, ma niente di esilarante. A seguire, assaggio di 3 primi: orecchioni burro e salvia decisamente in là con la cottura, le tagliatelle ai funghi niente di che, migliori quelle al ragù ma purtroppo erano tiepidine, quasi fredde. Il loro vino rosso era pessimo (a detta di molti della tavolata). Molto buono invece il loro semifreddo al croccantino. Non so quanto abbiamo speso, però mi sono alzata insoddisfatta. Forse è stata solo una giornata storta, non so... un peccato! Inoltre, i bagni erano molti sporchi (il locale era molto affollato, ma non può essere una scusante). Molto carina lâidea delle castagne arrostite all'uscita nello spiazzo e offerte ai clienti, con la possibilità anche di comprarle.

Un locale rustico ma anche elegante con personale cortese ed attento abbigliato da ristorante di classe ottimo il vino servito nella maniera giusta ottimi gli antipasti ed i primi un poco troppo cotta la grigliata che è risultata secca o bruciata in qualche pezzo, dolci di elevata qualità per il caffe si può fare di più,conto contenuto.

This was my third time eating at Fava. Every dining experience there has been delicious and thoughtful. The owner is knowledgeable and charming. His passion for herbs and quality is evident through the menu and on the plate. Please be sure to enjoy the cart of house made liquors and amarros at the end of your exquisite meal. We are Australian tourists in our 60s with minimal command of Italian, but a love of fine food. We certainly were able to enjoy wonderful food here and with patient helpful language assistance, in an historic building in a rural Italian village. We ordered 3 courses, the vegetarian soup got the thumbs up from my husband while the pasta I had was delicate and perfectly cooked. My husband ordered the chicken with the truffles and red wine sauce which he reported to be spectacularly good while I enjoyed the steak, plain but really well cooked to my preference, medium/rare. Delicious. We were both ready for a main course change from pasta after 6 weeks in Italy and we came to a great place. The wine we chose from a good local list was excellent. Dessert and coffee maintained the standard so an excellent 'Farewell to Emilia-Romagna' lunch for us. A mustn't miss dining treat in Casola Valsenio.
