We visited this restaurant as guests of the hotel. The view is exceptional and on a clear day perfect to watch the sunset over the bay and islands. The restaurant was fairly quiet as we visited in November before the peak season. They closed at 9pm. The menu is wide ranging from Hamburgers to Lobster, some American cuisine, some locally influenced. A selection of juices, alcoholic drinks and coffees. The bar spirits/liqors were a liittle limited probably due to off season and several we asked for off the menu, they didn't have. The staff are polite, patient and helpful. We ordered meals and it took about 15-20 minutes to deliver. The food is good, well presented but a little expensive. You are paying for the view I guess! Some evenings there is live music, guitar soloists or background music. Be aware that there is a very steep incline up to the restaurant, located in the first facing building of the hotel at rooftop level. Non-smoking environment. Quite a few steps to climb but the view is worth it, if only for a cocktail at sunset. A little expensive and closes a little earlier than expected. Peak times around 6-7pm. The hotel offers a golf buggy/cart to climb the hill to the restaurant, this can be taken from the reception area. A tip for the driver is polite.

My family dined here a week ago while on vacation. The food was delicious but the service was exceptional. They have a nice view and we enjoyed our experience. The complimentary coconut after-dinner aperitif was a nice touch.Our bar captain is particularly proud of his special touches such as after dinner aperitif!What you have experienced was our tight family like operations.We are a happy group of people who care for Mango Moon hotel and Vista Luna restaurant as their own. We were staying at Makanda and basically took advantage of the room service.I met the Manager on our last day and he mentioned that we really needed to go to Arbol. He offered a bottle of wine and me, being such a considered person would not turn that offer down I am not one of those self-proclaimed critics but I gotta say food here is something special.It was 6 of us so we order a bit of everything to share and I even put my hands on the vegan options that Chef Ali created for one of my friends. Luckily we found this oasis during our 3 nights stay at the hotel Makanda-by-the-sea. Our hotel restaurant was expensive with disco music - what a difference to Kapi Kapi. Excellent food and service, balanced ratio price-quality, soft music. After having found this place we did not eat elsewhere.Thank you for your positive feedback. We look forward to serving you again

Louis, the perfect host, had the most uncanny knack of anticipating your requirement. On our arrival, just like magic, welcoming drinks appeared. He remembered what you had ordered before and made great recommendations as to what to eat and drink. The food was varied and of excellent quality. Breakfasts were buffet style with a selection of individually prepared cooked items severed to your table. As a person who drinks hot water first thing in the morning, i was impressed that the hot water urn produced pure water without the taint of coffee or tea that is the norm elsewhere.
