An excellent soda very conveniently located in Santa Teresa (opposite Swell and close to Casa del Mar hostel). The food was delicious and also very well presented especially the tuna ceviche. I would definitely come back if I was staying in town longer.

The meals are so delicious and the prices affordable, I ate here two days in a row!I had the milanesa napolitana (breaded steak) for dinner, and a breakfast burrito on the next day. I very much enjoyed both dishes!For dessert I had their incredibly tasty french macarons on both visits.The chef Daphne was SO NICE, she came out multiple times to check and ensure I was enjoying everything. I can't wait to try more dishes!!

Honestly this place is a breath of fresh air. Very very good mediterranean food - cooked fresh each time - by a very nice couple. Spanish and English is spoken and the service is as friendly as it gets. The restaurant is directly across from the ICE office and between the Megasuper and Pali in Cobano. Literally a one minute walk from the bus station. Will definitely be going back to Pita Madre soon!Thank you for your review We will be glad to see you again (:

Wow I was blown away at how good the food is at this hidden gem of a beach restaurant. We went on a Saturday for lunch and it was a real treat. Iâm told the food is always different depending on the market availability. This is a top place.

This place is tucked away off the road and we had walked by many times without even noticing it was there. On the recommendation of our hotel owner(who has never steered us wrong) we tried this place out on our last night in Santa. The space is outdoors set under a tree, hence the name, and was beautiful and understated. Our server was excellent and explained any dishes we had questions on. She followed up often but was not intrusive in the least. Our dishes, split between four people, were delicious. We tried a number of small plates and a few of the larger ones and were very happy with them all. The tuna was the stand out favourite for everyone. Itâs not the cheapest place but I didnât feel that it was overpriced for what we received. Thanks a lot of your review, you described perfectly our idea of Bajo el Ãrbol. Good quality large portions and everything delicious. He started us with pickled vegetables richwood perfect. Then we had the hummus plate and substituted vegetables instead of the bread. And it was amazing. And we had a fish plate and the chicken plate everything was great including the sauces. Great service too

Classic Italian dishes in the middle of Santa Theresa. The eggplant parm was the clear standout for the food; it was just as good as my noniâs. The passion fruit cocktail was the best drink I had in Costa Rica. The waitstaff was excellent, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable.
