Upon recommendation, we decided to have dinner at this restaurant. After being seated, we asked for the wine-list. The answer was: no, we don't have it. Then the second question: do you have aperol spritz? The answer was again a No. Then we asked for kids menu and you guessed it right, it was a No, we don't have. My last question was: do you have simple pasta with tomato sauce for our kids? And after another no, I was highly doubting whether we had entered a restaurant or not. Needless to say, we said Grazie, but NO and left. You decide for yourself if our questions were just basic ones or not, but I cannot believe they can ran a restaurant with this mentality and assortment. They are lucky to have a nice location, so they might hook up some lost tourists like us, but if you are looking for a better experience, try the other restaurants in Gradara.Dear Mr./Mrs. Bay-Gastro,we're sorry to hear that you had such an unpleasant experience, but I'm afraid we're not the restaurant you are talking about. As a matter of fact, we have wine list, Aperol Spritz and we also make pasta with tomato sauce. I think you've mistaken us for another place, therefore I suggest you might double-check and delete your review from our profile.Best regards.

We visited for lunch on a Tuesday. It was an oasis of rest on the balcony in the shade of the trees. The young man who served us was very kind and spoke well english. The food and (white) house-wine were excellent. Highly recommended over al the tourist restaurants in the old citycentre.

An elegant and refined location characterized by splendid Medieval halls suitable for ceremonies, events or simply for a romantic dinner combined with the pleasure of the best flavors of the Marche and Romagnola cuisine. In addition to being located in th
The restaurant is just inside the castle walls so it was really nice to sit outside on the terrace, particularly since no-one was smoking (I'm not really sure what the smoking laws are in Italy but this has previously been a problem for me). The waiter was very friendly too. Unfortunately, the food was decidedly average. I'm actually surprised at how good the reviews on TripAdvisor are. My mum and I both had the tagliatelle with artichokes and ciausculo. My mum didn't think much of it but it was a good dish for me as I really like artichokes. The pasta was the very yellow colour you get from eggs in Italy too. I then had the prawn and squid spiedini. The menu stated these might at times be frozen. Rather than just saying if they were fresh or frozen, the waiter offered a bit of an 'explanation' which I didn't entirely understand. They obviously were frozen and were just okay. My mum thought the beef ones were excellent though. For dessert, I had the millefoglie, which was an unusual take on a millefoglie and really nice. I see other travellers have already posted photos of it. My mum had the semifreddo. This was by far the worst dish. It was just frozen solid. By the time I had finished my massive millefoglie it was still only possible to chip small bits of it off and we just landed up leaving it. I was expecting much better.

Recommended this restaurant by our hotel and what a treat it was. We had the taster menu and everything was totally delicious. The staff spoke very good English and explained each dish locally. They use fresh seasonal local produce , it was not fancy but it was extremely well cooked food. Everything tasted of what it was meant to taste of. There was an aubergine "meat" ball (with no meat) in the most exquisite tomato sauce I have ever tasted. Would love to go back

Random tripadvisor search after a visit to the Castle of Gradara and I definitely wasn't disappointed. Hats off to the chef! He prepares delicious food. The staff are courteous and the portions are just right. I highly recommend this place. It's off the hook!

We came for a visit at lunch time and I simply ask to have Tagliatelle Carbonara instead of Spaghetti Carbonara (as offered in the menu). The waiter explained me that they cannot change the menu at all and didnât show any sign of client oriented approach. As I was only asking to have a different pasta-type and not a an individual dish I ask myself, if such request really meant such a complication of the preparation procedure in the kitchen or if the dishes are already pre-cooked and not fresh??? As a consequence, I decided not to have food.

Il bacio is a truly great food and human experience, rare to find in today's Italy. The place is a beautiful, tastefully decorated medieval locanda. Food is superb:the quality of the ingredients is top-notch.The intellectual effort behind every plate is remarkable, and delivers dishes that result in very original comfort food. Last but not least, the service is of excellent quality! Cherry on the pie: iper-good value for money! In a nutshell: a heart and belly cuddle!

I was there a few days ago for a convivial dinner and related celebrations. It's a really beautiful place, with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, but by no means dull or sloppy. Impeccable service, delicious food and a good selection of drinks and wines.

Beautiful view on the beachside, We selected the Christmas menu for the whole family which is 2 appetizers , 2 first course , 2 main course and a desert. The staff selected a great wine for us.The food was delicious and plentiful, accompanied by "pane caeasau" a typical Sardinian bread. The chef Giorgio himself came to check on us twice to see if we liked the food and we were able to bring home the excess food that we left.Overall, a great dinner with family and a great mix of typical food of the region and gourmet recipes with creative tastes.Highly recommend for family and friends dining Thanks a lot for the review! It is a pleasure to see so many happy guests having a great dining experience in our restaurant. We hope to serve you again very soon. Best regards Chef Giorgio,Sottovento Ristorante
