Lovely lunch here last week. Great frito misto. Lovely house wine. The food on the neighbouring tables looked and smelled pretty great too!

The food is decent. But it takes really looooooooooong time to get it. We had the first course and then we waited 1.5 hour for main course. It was rather expensive (120 Euro for 4 people). Compared to several Agriturismo where you for 140 Euro get authentic food and great service.

My wife and I had just visited the castle and were feeling a bit hot so we just popped in for a quick drink, at that time we were the only customers in the bar. the barman/owner was very friendly and the drinks were no more expensive than in England which was surprise as we were expecting high prices due to the location. The views from the restaurant terrace were amazing and I have to say the toilets were exceptionally clean. If anyone is visiting the castle, I highly recommend calling in here for a glass of wine or two,

La Bottega Dei Sapori

A cooking workshop to enjoy tasty traditional dishes accompanied by good craft beer

A very strange experioence indeed, maybe because of tyhe off season but nowhere else we ate in Sardinia was like this, we were the only people eating until the extended faimily turned up for a chat, which was rather distracting when your trying to enjoy your food. This was the other issue, with no English on the menue, no other aids like pictures or someone to translate we had to guess, we had been in this situation at other resyurants buit had managed quite well, as it was my startes (Lasagne) was good but the other meiocure and my main (Calamari Fritti) was almost certainly out of the freezer, while the deep fried beef (we think) was bland. The only saving grace was the craft beer produced in-house, I liked that a lot.Maybe in season the food/atmosphere is better but not in December.

Restaurant at Hotel Sa Rocca

Visited after a recommendation from our hotel. It took a little time to find and we eventually approached it from narrow winding alleyway up the steep hill.We were placed in a window location overlooking the bay which was pleasant although we found out later that there was more air on a rather stuffy evening at the street side tables. In my experience I didn’t find the food in any way exceptional. There was certainly nothing wrong with it, but nothing to make it excel. We shared the traditional cheese filled dumplings with pesto to start which again were fine. I followed with the veal in a cream sauce. The “medium” cooked steak was rather bloody but didn’t bother me. It was of decent quality but the sauce was rather bland (cost about 18 euros). Vegetables of the day were extra and comprised sliced boiled potatoes and carrots which was a touch disappointing. My wife enjoyed her trio of fish but would have preferred a sauce with it.For a non fish eater I found the menu limited, but as might expect on a Mediterranean restaurant the fish menu was more extensive. Our total cost for one starter, two mains and two half litres of house wine was 68 euros which wasn’t excessive but as stated above simply unremarkable. Maybe we picked a slightly off night or perhaps it didn’t suit me. Staff were pleasant and efficient however.

This restaurant was so nice that we went three times in our 6 days in Posada. A great selection of pizzas, all fresh and delicious. I also had the seafood pasta one night which was yummy. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is good (we went on a Monday night and it was quiet but then on Wednesday/Thursday it was much more lively). Watch out for the mosquitos at night! Great value, pizzas range from €6-9 and other dishes were around €11. Only €9 for a litre of house red and €4 for a dessert (the panacotta was amazing). Thanks for some lovely authentic Italian dinners!

Colorado Grill La Caletta

Visited here after we had read the really good reviews, however I know that most of the reviews were very good but we had a not so good experience. The location is beautiful that's for sure, staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I was quite disappointed with the fact that even though the restaurant is on the coast they are not taking advantage of the abundance of fresh fish that there is to offer, but are offering frozen shell fish and squid. Why? The most expensive dish was a platter of fish and shell fish which arrived luke-warm and it was apparent that it was not fresh. They have a few children's choices that are more expensive than half of the rest of the menu none of which come with any type of salad or vegetables, which you have to order separately so a child's dish ends up costing €15 !! My husbands fish was spaghetti with seafood which he enjoyed very much, my older son had pizza which was also delicious. My husband having been in the catering business many years kindly informed the waitress to let the chef know that the fish wasn't up to scratch but we didn't expect anything this was merely to inform him. They reduced the bill by 7 euros in kind. So to summarise in my opinion and judging by most of the reviews Colorado Grill have accomplished pizza and pasta, everything else I'm afraid missed the mark.

Restaurant located right in the main street of La Caletta sepcialised in seafood dishes made with fresh and local products. Waiters speaking English!

The restaurant is really attractive both inside and outside on the terrace. We stopped here for lunch hoping for pizza but they are unavailable until 6pm. We opted for mixed fried fish and salad which was ok but nothing special. The salad was insipid and not what you would expect in the med in summer where the tomatoes should be bursting with flavour. Disappointed and it felt as though we were an inconvenience. La Caletta was very quiet and some places weren't open so early in the season.
