We recently spent a couple of days in beautiful Napoli and we stumbled across Barril bar on one of the many side streets around the Chiaia district.This place is absolutely wonderful. From the moment you walk in through the rather unassuming street level entrance and down the stairs, you are in beer wine and cocktail heaven!!Alfredo is a perfect host. He's incredibly friendly and made us feel so welcome each time we visited.He was very helpful with all of the advice he gave us about what to see and do around the city and he gave us good tips on where to eat.The bar itself is really lovely and has a beautiful garden terrace that would make you forget you were anywhere near a city it's so relaxed.The cocktails are superb (try one of Claudio's ginger mojito's).He also has a really cool selection of local craft beers and some really excellent wines on offer.on the evenings we were there, there was a fantastic freshly made finger food buffet which was complimentary with the drinks.The prices are incredibly reasonable, considering the surroundings, atmosphere and service, so put this place high on your list of places to enjoy a drink during your visit to this wonderful city.

Sono stato più volte in compagnia della mia ragazza o dei miei amici presso questo locale dallo stile inconfondibile e curato, e ogni volta ci torno sempre molto volentieri. Atmosfera tranquilla, rilassante. Ieri sera abbiamo deciso di goderci un buon vino e un tagliere dopo una lunga e stressante giornata di lavoro e non abbiamo avuto dubbi: prenotiamo alla Salumeria Moderna. Giunti lì, siamo stati subito accolti dal personale e quindi abbiamo ordinato due fette di casatiello, (buonissimo, prodotto da loro in modo artigianale, come ci hanno spiegato), una bottiglia di Kajanero (un ottimo vino prodotto nella zona di Caserta, ben strutturato), e un Tagliere Meridionale (che comprendeva una selezione di salumi e formaggi dell'Italia meridionale, accompagnati da miele e marmellatine). Ogni tagliere è per due persone e si può scegliere tra vari tipi: meridionale, centrale, settentrionale, misto... Ce n'è per tutti! Porzioni generose, prezzi giusti e qualità ottima! Siamo andati via molto soddisfatti e col pensiero di tornarci quanto prima. Consigliatissimo!

Siamo stati in questo locale sabato sera; l'ambiente è molto tranquillo e intimo. La cucina e i tagli di carne in vista danno subito fiducia a chi entra. Il menù non è infinito e disorientante come nella stragrande maggioranza dei casi ma giusto e preciso. I piatti che abbiamo provato erano belli e di qualità . Il titolare e lo staff molto cordiali e presenti con tutti gli ospiti. Ci torneremo senz'altro per provare altre prelibatezze!
