Finally something different than just steak Florentine! A very nice restaurant with excellent service and a very happy owner/manager. Really friendly and homey. Excellent experience.We were so glad to order the Dish of the Week because finally something creative and nice aside from just a piece of steak. Also the tiramisu was delicious, thick and heavy.Great dining experience in Florence. Really enjoyed it! And they really hold to what is traditional in Tuscany and this is really nice. Not the Tourist Special!

Great food and great staff. Our meal was wonderful, my ravioli with fresh black truffles was excellent. Dessert and digestivo were equally good. This was such a pleasant experience especially after a truly crappy lunch at a tourist trap. The ambiance was pleasant and we were very pleased with how helpful the waitstaff were throughout our meal. We have one day left in Florence and have decided to return for our last night.Thank you very much for your review from all the staff of Gustavino Duomo

Top class restaurant in Firenze, one of the best in the city. Excellent atmosphere, nice decoration, friendly service and amazing food. I would recommend anything, but the filetto al pepe verde is simply extraordinary. We enjoyed as well the tagliere with salumi and cheese, quite a right choice as antipasti. I couldn't but willingly recommend the restaurant even though the prizes are a little bit expensive.

Our family of 3 came here and after the good reviews had high expectations! The burgers looked amazing but we ended up all getting steak and it did not disappoint. We got the sirloin steak which comes on a slate board with shaved pecorino cheese and rocket salad on and you choose either grilled vegetables or chips (round ones not like fries) as a side. The whole meal was delicious! For â¬16 the portion size was amazing, so much steak! The two young guys behind the bar were so warming and friendly and such a laugh too they answered any queries very helpfully. The decor was cool too, itâs the perfect sized restaurant not too big and the fans were nice and cooling. Only flaw we could find was the beer was a bit expensive but the whole experience was great it didnât matter! We are going back again for the burgers (so many choices) and pasta that looked amazing. Side note: Make sure afterwards to go across the street to Gelateria dei Neri which does yummy gelato for good prices I could get two well sized scoops in a small pot for â¬1.80

I reserved a table for me and my boyfriend's anniversary dinner since he's currently studying abroad in Florence. Since I'm still in the US, I called Sant' Ambrogio and made sure he was able to get the best table in the restaurant, pre- order a bottle of Chianti Classico wine, and even leave a "Happy anniversary" note on the table for when he arrived. I gave them my credit card details to pay ahead for his meal as well. The staff was super accommodating and made it a special night for my boyfriend. I will be certainly going to this restaurant when I'm in Florence next! Grazie mille Sant' Ambrogio!

Arrived a little after they opened, and we were the only ones there for the first hour - a wonderful quiet time! Ordered the steak for two, with roasted potatoes and the most delicious grilled vegetables. We watched our meat being cooked in the kitchen! Beautiful presentation when served. Fun Fact: our waiter happened to mention that the plates are edible. They looked like a heavy duty paper plate, but my husband tried it! Great service! All wonderful!

Our rental owner recommended this restaurant.We were welcomed by the owner who is a neighbour and friend of Elena, our host.The Mandriarno red wine was lovely and the pasta with roe deer sauce was delicious but the pork cube dish I ordered was â¬20 of mainly fat, maximum 20 per cent pork and that was disappointing and I left a pile of fat on my plate. The waitress looked at it and did not ask why or if it had been nice!!!as wasThe Tiramisu the waitress strongly recommended was the worst ever.We visit Italy all the time and love Tiramisu but this was really dreadful.We only ordered one but she brought 2 and that was â¬12 wasted as it was a hard biscuit with cream only and a sprinkling of chocolate. Really awful.

Amazing. I dined here as part of a Gate 1 tour. The food was amazing and all you could eat. It started out with an anti pasta bar and ended with a plate of meat including beff, pork, chicken and sausage that was some of the best meat I have eaten. The wine was free flowing. I am not a wine drinker but the blue sparking wine, the strawberry wine and the grapefruit wine was great. Six family members who were traveling with me loved the red and white wines served. The singers were good. This was an optional dinner on the tour and I am very glad we decided to do it. Would do it again.
