Locanda Di Nunno

The atmosphere of the dining room is very nice. The dishes we received were beautiful, tasty and innovative, including a fava flan! The chef, Antonio and his talented, young kitchen staff took the time to visit our table and speak to us about the meal. Overall, a wonderful, intimate, customer-centered dining experience in this small Italian town.

Nana - Ristorante Pizzeria

We were travelling and were late so we didn't get time to try that much however both pasta dishes were excellent as was the accompanying salads and grilled vegetables. The cops on the next table ordered some fantastic looking pizzas (and their colleagues must also agree as another set showed up after the first left!:-). The staff were really friendly and the chef popped out to say hello and recommend dishes. He was clearly passionate about his food and we tried an antipasti dish he recommended with mozzarella which was superb (we ate it all!) The deour is clean but basic, the ubiquitous tv is unecessary but all in all great value - it's always comforting to see the local Italians choose to eat in a local restaurant!

Ci sono ritornato per una cena di lavoro. Abbiamo cenato a base di pesce. Ottimo tutto, in netto miglioramento rispetto alla precedente volta. Personale cortese. Ottimo vino bianco. Soprattutto ottimi gli antipasti e il primo. Il secondo nella norma. Lo consiglio.

5. Calamariba

Calamariba

Calamariba is, actually, a fish shop, a typical, nice Italian fish shop with first choice fresh fish, any shell fish, also oysters you can eat raw (Italian style) right there. But the true tasty surprise is that you can sit down (if you want, two tables) and eat any fish you select from the fresh display. They have a kitchen, with a cook, of course and the experience will be...glorious.I warmly suggest a "frittura", fried fish, one of the best I have ever tasted, hot with a squeeze of lemon and a nice cold bottle of white wine (yes they have a choice of wines). An Italian sea aperitivo will be top notch, too.So, if after an exhausting archaeological visit in Canosa, for lunch or for dinner, no doubt, a fantastic culinary "jump" in the Mediterranean in an unusual setting, will certainly make your day...special: Calamariba.Buon appetito and cheers
