great location and quality room
Reviewed By RoseBzThe B&B is well located close to the cathedral and castle but in a quiet location. We had a room with a view of the castle and water (worth paying for). The room was newly fitted out with a very comfortable bed and a great shower. Everything worked. The stairs to the room and particularly to the terrace for breakfast are steep but it's a lovely place to enjoy the good breakfast. We would book again.

Helpful and gracious staff; lovely accommodations, great location
Reviewed By Happiness72482We had a most delightful stay at Grand Hotel Terme. The manager, Giovanni, could not have been any more helpful and hospitable. I had contacted him several times prior to our trip to clarify directions, amenities, etc, and he always responded promptly (even on the weekend!). He was waiting for our arrival and escorted us to our accommodations. We stayed at the newly renovated Palazzo Novecento that is part of the hotel. Giovanni made sure that we knew how to use all the appliances, faucets and air conditioning (which can sometimes be tricky!). Our one-bedroom with living room and included kitchenette was perfect. Quality details in the renovation: a fantastic induction stove that we wish we had at home, a large refrigerator/freezer, microwave, pots and pans, dishes and utensils. Well stocked which was perfect for us: we alternated cooking our meals and dining out. The bathroom was large with a fantastic shower--nice hot water with excellent water pressure! And the windows were triple paned so no outdoor noise! And the beds/pillows are super comfortable (would love to have to that mattress at home). The hotel is attached to the Terme of Margherita di Savoia, so the location is perfect. Also beachfront. We made sure to take a 3 mile walk along the lovely, soft sand beach. We'd love to return in the summer for swimming! We had really wanted to see the famed salt flats and flamingos but discovered that it was too far to walk. No problem: Giovanni (on his own time!) organized a private tour of the salt pans and bird sanctuary with driver Nino and guide Salvatore. Most excellent! One of the best tours I have ever participated in. A real surprise--a truly delightful one--was that they also took us to an agritourismo farm with buffalo, cows, hens, ducks, and a dog and a cat. And a herd of fun goats running down the street to wait for their farmer to open the gate to their other pasture. What fun! And to cap it all, Nino brought out plate after plate of various cheeses, made locally by the farmers. Six cheeses in fact! My husband was a happy man. We had to buy some to take home as the cheese could not have been any fresher--not when we met the buffalo right there! As a travel agent, I have stayed at many hotels around the world, but never have I had a more enjoyable stay. Giovanni is an excellent hotel manager--you can see how much he cares about his guests. I have stayed at 'luxury' hotels who could learn about hospitality management from Giovanni. In all, it was a memorable stay in every way, and we hope to return! Anne and Keith

107 euro a night for a bad room, avoid

If it’s sold to you at more than 100 euros, please avoid.Otherwise: breakfast included was only 1 yogurt, 1 coffee, 1 croissant. Everything else you had to go to a restaurant outside and pay for it: orange juice, milk, ham, cheese, fruits, bread, eggs, etc. That’s false advertising: breakfast included should mean breakfast included. Period. The hosts are very unprofessional and send you 200 aggressive texts if you dare write a review on Booking.com or elsewhere that is not complimentary. They are not ready to be involved in the hotel or B&B business at all. The room was very tacky and furnished with poor taste. Everything looked old and used. When you check in, the hosts will tell you what to visit in the city - that’s good. The location of the room is also good, 5mn-10mn walk from the port. We visited Puglia for 12 days and this was our worst stay.

Wonderful stay at So Trani
Reviewed By mark jAfter a week and a half of nice accomodation and driving around Puglia we came across the lovely So Trani. It was our last stop in the region and by far the best b&b we had stayed at. Valeria is the perfect host . The room was excellent the building is lovely and so well renovated and decorated. Breakfast was lovely and there is plenty of food supplied in the breakfast area for during the day. So glad we finished our trip at So Trani. And we can't say enough about Valeria and her attention toward her guests . We loved it

Nice location, picturesque building but one reception staff was hostile
Reviewed By Estella2009The hotel is right on the port of Trani with a nice view. The building is historic since it is a converted convent. There is no restaurant at the hotel and one morning there was no hot water. The rooms are furnished in the style of the convent though the carpets need some cleaning as stained in various places. The women receptionist was not very welcoming and seemed to be unhappy doing her work. She was a bit snappy and not approachable. The men receptionist were fine though. Breakfast was very basic. If you need to stay in Trani there is not much choice of hotels but this hotel can do better though.

Breakfast was served in the room (Covid distancing imposes some solution). I'd definitely go back there again.

Another wonderful weekend
Reviewed By AntonioD5868Back after two years, and being welcomed again by Alessandro and Ana. Booked the suite which is a spacious, gorgeous room with jacuzzi included. This year they have an agreement with a nearby beach resort that makes your day at the beach a dream. On the second day, we had storms, and right after the bicycles were read for a pleasant ride to the town of Trani. Alex’ recommendations for dining out are always excellent.
