You know if all the locals are there and the place is full it is a great choice. We had a large round elegant table of 8 and all ordered something different. Service was very special, the waitress was passionate about the food and explaining every dish in detail. All the courses were prepared and delivered with Piedmonte flavors and quality taste. Everything was wonderful. We ordered a corked bottle of wine and the waitress knew it right away and opened up 2 other bottles of the same vintage and then decided on another maker in the region and it was wonderful and even cheaper than the first one we ordered. The food was fresh and experience was memorable. I would go back.

What an gastronomic experience! And brilliant service from Antonio and his son Christian!This was a brilliant tasting experience with the perfect winemeny!!Antonio is very entustiatic and highly skilled on the food and wine he is serving!The restaurant is relaxed and cosy with style. Babette it is a charming restuarant with a couples of rooms in a wonderful location between wineyards. We had a wonderful lunch at Ferragosto sitting outside in the garden. The food was excellent, piedmontese cuisine but with an innovative touch. Here it is well know for champagne and indeed we had a wonderful bottle from a small producer and then an excellent Grignolino Superiore (local wine of this part of Monferrato). The owner is kind and friendly, good service so if you are closed to Casal Monferrato I really this charming restaurant.

Last Sunday evening we had hoped to enjoy our evening meal at Cascina Madonna having read and heard good things about the place. We booked several months ago, checked they could cope with the fact I am allergic to cowâs milk and cowâs milk products (they could) and yes they would welcome our German Shepherd Dog as long as he was well behaved (he is). They confirmed they would seat us at a corner table. We re-confirmed the arrangements two days before we showed not least because we had forgotten whether we had booked for the 10th or the 17th of May! When we arrived we were seated at a table which, while adequate, was not a corner table. 10 minutes later after bread was served another member of staff suggested we move to another room where, while there was no corner table, the table arrangement was more spacious. No problem. About 15 minutes later another couple arrived, were seated and the gentleman commented on our beautifully behaved GSD. 7 â 8 minutes later, his companion went to the kitchen/serving door, complained and, a few minutes later, they walked outside. Since the presentation of the bread I had asked three times whether the bread contained any milk (not unusual in Piedmont) and was delighted when the member of staff who suggested we move tables arrived to tell me there was no milk in the bread. However she then told us, because the other couple had complained about our dog, if we were to be served we had to leave the dog outside. Leaving the dog outside would mean leaving the dog in the car, in a car parking area that has no significant shade, the sun was still up and the evening warm. We declined and left, though I am unsure they were aware we had left until sometime afterwards as they were all at sixes and sevens seating other guests.There was absolutely no front of house organisation that evening, and (we suspect) none when our booking was taken, and re-confirmed. The lady who objected to the presence of our well behaved GSD (positioned 3 â 4 metres from their table) may have severe asthma but, if the case, it is strange this would not have been flagged when their booking was made, and noted. It is also strange that it took 7 â 8 minutes for her to respond to the presence of the dog and, as her companion obviously appreciates good looking and well-behaved dogs, that he was not courteous enough to approach us with an explanation â language would not be the issue (between us we speak five). Not since 2008 when we were thrown out of La Locanda delle Grazie in Curtatone (the chef was in a rage that his front of house personnel had accepted our booking â see separate review) have we ever had a problem with a restaurant failing to honour a booking.

My husband and I were staying at Palazzo Paleologi, the hotel where this beautiful restored restaurant is located. The restaurant is upstairs in the old converted monastery with a beautiful view over the vineyards of Piemonte. The Palazzo and the restaurant are family run and our hosts could not have done more for us - even allowing our lovely labrador Lucy to join us in the stunning restaurant.We opted for the tasting menu which was incredibly reasonably priced for 7 courses and I can honestly say I have never had better risotto in my life! The staff were happy to make my tasting menu wholely vegetarian even though this was not a usual option. Each course was beautifully prepared with local produce and the freshness just sprung from the plate. the wine list is fabulous with lots of local options to sample. We even finished our meal off with some home made limoncello and amaretto.If in Piemonte you MUST visit this charming restaurant. First class.

This is a fabulous pizzeria, they have a large selection on the menu and if, like me you want something different, if you ask they normally will help. For example I like gorgonzola on my pizza diavola and they add it for me.The waitresses are polite and helpful and the tables are always clean.They are getting busy, so it is best to pre-book.Thanks guys for my fab pizza tonight

We ate here on our last night in Vignale and were very happy we did! A menu that changes weekly, based on the seasons, but with more originality than most other Piedmontese restaurants. Great choice of Proscecco and wines by the glass and SUPER friendly service. The building is a beautifully renovated old brick garage/factory with a roof top terrace that's stellar. A must.

I seldom had as much Funghi as at this Restaurant. ... even the portion of the fresh mushrom salad was too much. I eated all and I should know that it is difficult for my stomage. The wines (very special prosecco and excellent wine from the area) was delicious, else the starters and the meat. Wonderful panoramic view.
