I've been there about 3 times within the last few years and found the food good and filling and the waitress was friendly. she does the best she can, cause, most of the time she is by herself serving, and plus she answers the phone and rings people for their payments. considering what she has to do; I would say she does a great job!

We arrived late in the evening for dinner. Staff were pleasant and accommodating. Our waitress even assisted us in choosing our dishes. All were fish selections, and all were good. My garden salad was so fresh and filled with a variety of vegetables!

Friendly service, but the food was not very good. I had a rather pathetic salad with cold chicken on it (figured it would be a fresh, cooked chicken breast....silly me. My boyfriend had a burger with home fries and coleslaw. Ok, but nothing special. I suggest that you save your money for a legit restaurant with an actual chef that has a passion for real, quality food and who doesn't cut corners. We also paid extra for items that the menu claimed came WITH our meals. Not impressed at all.

We wrapped up our Canadian vacation with one last morning of Tim Horton's before heading back to the US. The Strawberry Shortcake donut was fresh and the cream was a light whipped cream with strawberry jelly. The box of Timbits contained four each of: plain, glazed chocolate, maple glazed, glazed and sugar. All the donuts were fresh and delicious. What else is new?? Bye until our next Canadian vacation.

Miller's Church Street Patio; Seafood and Chophouse is located behind the Maritime Inn Port Hawkesbury on Reeves Street, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week. We run daily features for both lunch and dinner. We have highchairs and coloring books available for the little ones, and we have the premiere patio in Port Hawkesbury. Come in and join us for our delicious seafood chowder, and choose from a wide array of entrees, sandwiches, pastas, etc. If it's not on the menu, make sure to ask. We try to do whatever we can to make your dining experience as pleasant and memorable as possible. And if it's a drink you're in the mood for, we do have a full bar available. We went there to have supper September 7, 2017. My wife had the Cajun Shrimp and Scallops with Linguini for $21.00. She liked the taste, but for 3 Shrimps and 4 Scallops it was a bit over-priced. This little restaurant was just passed the tourist office that you encounter when you drive into Cape Breton Island on the causeway. We were hungry for lunch and the place fixed us us nicely. If I remember correctly we all had some variety of seafood and we were all pleased. It had a separate room with a bar but no one was in there.

I am a business man who travels to Cape Breton often. Whenever I can, I stop at the Country Kitchen. Olivia Campbell is a waitress at this restaurant. She is amazingly courteous, friendly, knowledgeable, and such a wonderful personality. Definite asset to this restaurant and the community. Being a Cape Bretoner, and getting to come back home when I can, such friendly service and great food make the trip worth it.
