I reserved a table for me and my boyfriend's anniversary dinner since he's currently studying abroad in Florence. Since I'm still in the US, I called Sant' Ambrogio and made sure he was able to get the best table in the restaurant, pre- order a bottle of Chianti Classico wine, and even leave a "Happy anniversary" note on the table for when he arrived. I gave them my credit card details to pay ahead for his meal as well. The staff was super accommodating and made it a special night for my boyfriend. I will be certainly going to this restaurant when I'm in Florence next! Grazie mille Sant' Ambrogio!

Our rental owner recommended this restaurant.We were welcomed by the owner who is a neighbour and friend of Elena, our host.The Mandriarno red wine was lovely and the pasta with roe deer sauce was delicious but the pork cube dish I ordered was â¬20 of mainly fat, maximum 20 per cent pork and that was disappointing and I left a pile of fat on my plate. The waitress looked at it and did not ask why or if it had been nice!!!as wasThe Tiramisu the waitress strongly recommended was the worst ever.We visit Italy all the time and love Tiramisu but this was really dreadful.We only ordered one but she brought 2 and that was â¬12 wasted as it was a hard biscuit with cream only and a sprinkling of chocolate. Really awful.

The food was good and the price totally ok! We tasted pizza and ravioli, for dessert we took the tiramisu. A good sign was that there were a lot of locals eating here as well, what shows me that the kitchen is really italian! The housewine also tasted good, we bought 2 bottles to take home.The view is nice, just sad that the restaurant is next to the street so it's not totally quiet. Maybe good to know- the restaurant opens at 7 pm.We reccomend a visit at the Restaurant Dino!

We had some of our best meals in Italy in this charming restaurant up the hill from Casa Palmira B & B. The veal chop was the best I have had anywhere period! The beef filet were consistently delicious as were the pasta dishes. The only complaint we had was the restaurant was too brightly lit which detracted form it's atmosphere. Look past that though to enjoy some delicious fare at a reasonable price.

Trattoria Osvaldo is a family-run business that offers home-made, traditional Tuscan dishes. We attended a private event there and were so impressed that we went back on our own. What an authentic experience! Osvaldo hides up on the hills of Florence toward the beautiful Fiesole, where you only see locals and forget about the touristic fuss of Centro. I highly recommend going for lunch and spending the afternoon walking/driving up to the town of Settignano or Fiesole, which offer beautiful views of the city between gorgeous olive groves and grapevines.

We try this restaurant because our local friend recommended. And it turns out amazing! Everything was delicious. I spent 3 weeks in Italy and the best spaghetti I ever ate is here. Everything else are great. A little bit expensive for the local standard but definitely worth every cent.

I've been coming here for many years, and it's a lovely intimate tuscany restaurant on the hills souh of fFlorence ingredients very fresh, pasta home made, and you can eat under the veranda which, in summer time, is a pleasant experience. Exceptional the Fritto ( mix of fried meat and vegetables in season , a must!, including the rekniwn veal- brain, a typical dish in this area. Price with a good bottle of wine ⬠30/ea

Sunday lunch for a party of four hungry guys was excellent throughout. This is a popular local restaurant, somewhat difficult to find, but well worth the effort. The specialities are Pasta Ragu and Bistecca a la Fiorentina. With are incredible and the steak is amazing value. There is also a very good selection of antipasti and desserts. One comes our of this place well satisfied. Good ingredient and simple cooking.A good selection of local wines at very reasonable mark-ups goes well with the steak.

I took some friends to eat in this place, which I have known for decades, and we were not disappointed. It might seem shabby looking , but its food is always great. Also, price is very reasonable.
