They called me at 19:00 and said I did not show up
Reviewed By SergeyP1042After at 19:37 they took money from my card. They said I needed to come before 19:00. I came at 22:42 and they really left and did not give me key to stay. So it is a kind of cheat. After I spoke with them they added the hours in the booking but before (you can see in attached photos) there were no such rules. So be careful, it could happen also to you

Families Beware
Reviewed By JACAAJWe had 4 rooms booked for two families. Each family has 2 adults and 3 kids. Upon arrival, the host said that we needed to rent a fifth room. He would only allow two people per room. With only 4 adults in our group, that would mean the extra room would be occupied by 2 children! We explained that it was unsafe to let two minors sleep alone. He said that it would be a fire hazard to have 2 children and 1 adult stay in the same room (we have never had a problem doing this before) The rooms are ENORMOUS! More importantly, how could the host be more concerned about a nonexistent fire hazard, and not about renting a room to two underaged minors? I’m pretty sure that’s not even legal. We contacted Booking.com and all they could do was ask the host to cancel as it was a non-refundable reservation. We watched the host purposefully not answer the phone when the booking rep called. We understand that the reservation was non-refundable, but the host wouldn’t let us stay or give us the keys without us renting an additional room. A room that we wouldn’t be able use! With the choice of renting the 5th room (that would remain empty) or canceling and paying for the stay...we opted to pay the 150 euros to rent the 5th room and left it vacant. The host was unreasonable, unprofessional and unmasked (no COVID-19 precautions) It also took 3 hours before he was able to check us in and issue keys. Another issue was the A/C. They advertise air conditioning (the main reason we chose it). The host instructed us that we must turn off the air conditioning with the remote control when leaving the room. Shouldn’t the guest decide the temperature of the room? It was over 32 degrees Celsius outside. Who wants to return to a hot room? We placed the “Do not disturb” sign on the door and instructed the maid not to enter. When we returned that evening, someone had entered and turned off the air conditioning...CREEPY! The rooms had no safe, luckily nothing was taken!

Nice and cozy
Reviewed By Martin HOverall experience was great, I have no complaints. The Wi-Fi could be faster and they could offer scrambled eggs for breakfast but these are just improvement suggestions. Breakfast was good - cereals, juice, salami, cheese, hard boiled eggs, jam, some sweets etc. The room is big and well equipped, it has a TV which I haven't turned on, a hairdryer (sometimes they don't have it when you need it the most), a little "kitchen" inside a cute closet with a sink, microwave, water boiler and splayd (knifes, forks, spoons etc.) The bed was pretty firm on the first impression but I ended up having the best sleep I got in months. I probably need to change my mattress at home ?. Rooms are also wheelchair accessible, they have a pool (which I saw) and sauna (which I read about and didn't see). The host is very nice and kind but I kinda got the impression the kindness wasn't genuine. Only my opinion, she was very kind and serving at every interaction. Parking is on a tight street next to the entrance and there's a little bigger parking space 20 meters from the side entrance.

Reviewed By aleksandrabalinskaCan't rate the actual hotel cause we didn't get a room even though we reserved it 3 days in advance and it was confirmed twice on booking.com and we were also chatting via email with a receptionist. Upon arrival the hotel was fully booked, they couldn't find our reservation and sent us to a pension instead, promised us that it will be even better for the same price. We went there, spent 30min driving around looking for it (Pension Dogmar), and it was way more expensive and didn't look good, so we wasted around an hour, had to look for a new place, lost other offers cause the check-in hours finished and had to drive to another city after a non-stop 13-hour journey..

A Great Place To Stay & Eat
Reviewed By Tom TThe Penzion: Probably the best Penzion I have stayed in in Czechia! The price us great, communication (even with poor Czech) is very good. Check-in very quick. The room was modern and tastefully decorated in a nautical theme. The bathroom excellent and well stocked. The mattresses were very comfortable. The whole place is incredibly clean. Even on a winters day the view of the Labe river is pleasant from the spacious balcony with four chairs and a table... Fast Wi-Fi and an good information folder in Czech and English. The location is very quiet, but within five minutes of Poděbrady town centre. Outside, there's ample parking, a large seating area next to the Penzion and another smaller one on a jetty over the river. There's also a lovely children's playground and a tennis court. The Restaurant: A lovely restaurant with a good menu, pleasant and quick service and delicious food. Thd coffee is great. Prices are very reasonable and the breakfast simply amazing. A real smorgasbord where you can even put together a half decent English breakfast! Very highly recommend!

We are located in the heart of Poděbrady, just a few minutes from the colonnade and near the train station. We will be happy to accommodate you in one of our newly equipped 19 rooms. The superior rooms offer an air conditioning and a balcony. We rae looking forward to your visit.

Reviewed By GlobeElementPro přespání je to v pořádku. Pokoj byl vybaven sprchou a WC. Kuchyňka v něm nebyla, jen rychlovarná konvice, ale jelikož jsme nechtěli vařit, nevadilo to. Okna jsou do klidné ulice, jenomže ráno se v ní ozývaly zvuky aut dovážejících zásoby pro hotelové kuchyně. Není to luxus, ale je to slušný standard. A za požadovanou cenu, nelze nic namítat. Penzion je hned vedle pěší zóny, kavárny a restaurace jsou za rohem.
