The restaurant does have a decor which is Not The Norm, i.e crushed stone floor, 7-8 single/double tables and around the periphery some 6-7 Adobe style Seating, tables... You have to be able to withstand sitting on the mud/stone seats. We had been here two year's previously and being a Sunday there are not many options in Town so we returned to Los Jugos. A dish of grilled chicken , a grilled carne (pork) and a Soup made for our main dishes. Not papa fritas here so I did better by having the grilled potato chunks..yummy. A tad too much salt on my chicken, but the Carmenere Reserve tempered that excess.... Somewhat. Lovely young waitress who spoke reasonable English akin to my Spanish but was surprised when she brought the pen written bill and noted for my benefit... If that were necessary, that the Tip was Not Included. The result a Tip that was slightly less than otherwise is my practice.

Having checked out almost every eatery in delightful (but busy) Pisco Elqui while exploring on foot from our apartment, we were hoping that Hacienda Miraflores would provide a special experience when we finally drove out of the village for a change of scenery. The setting is magnificent -- a world-class view from a mostly-covered open Terrace. (You might need a hat at many of the tables.) The chairs are padded!!! The washrooms are first class. Service is very good. What a downer when the food was by far the worst we had been served in 9 days of restaurant meals in Chile. We asked for the reineta (sea bream, one of our favourites) to be poco cocida (rare), but a big slab of it came as tough and tasteless as canned tuna. We had been relieved to finally see some vegetables on the menu, but the asparagus that came with the fish was hopelessly-overcooked mush that must have come out of a can. We did not want to burden the excellent staff with complaints in our scant Spanish, and we did not decline to pay the optional propina (tip). We saved our wrath for this (for us) rare negative review on TripAdvisor. It's a lovely drive south for a short distance from Pisco Elqui, but it would be so much better if this physically-classy resto had a competent chef.

After we checked in to our apartment at the Balcones de Pisco Elqui, I walked around the village to investigate the restaurants. Not many choices for dinner, but El Durmiente Elquino seemed to be the best choice. Indeed, we were not disappointed. Service is friendly and efficient. The washrooms are clean and well-appointed. It's not luxurious: the chairs are hard and the floor is gravel (which is typical for this part of Chile). Wonderfully-seasoned complimentary bread starts the memorable experience. We chose to start with the salad of quinoa, lettuce, hearts of palm, and Chile's finest ripe avocado. For our main, we chose the Salmon en papillotte, which is actually prepared in aluminum foil, but it is wonderful!! It's a flavourful concoction with onions and tomatoes. Ask for it "poco cocida" -- which means rare. It won't be truly rare, but the less cooked, the better. The papas salteados are great. Top it off with a fine Chilean cabernet sauvignon and it is among the finest dinners in the world. Our waiter, Federico, was outstanding. He knows just enough English to help us with our very limited Spanish. Our dinner was so enjoyable that we returned two nights later for a repeat. Even though I had not done a TripAdvisor review yet, and we were just ordinary customers, we were treated like royalty. This is a first-class resto in a fascinating part of Chile.

Right Pisco Elqui, opposite the village plaza, our restaurant El Pisqueña welcomes you to enjoy a unique culinary experience, in an atmosphere that is magical. Our aim is to incorporate the traditional ingredients of the Elquina kitchen -tomatoes, peppers, dried meat, onions, beans, figs, etc.- with a modern and attractive twist and complemented by a selection of the best wines and beers of the region.

More than a distillery. Come taste our creole dishes at the Pisco Mistral Distillery restaurant. Taste a selection of the best Elqui Valley recipes, carefully prepared and presented. Our restau-rant features an array of dishes, ranging from the pastel the choclo to the typical cabrito nortino.
We drove up to Pisco Elqui yesterday to see if we would like to stay for a few days but opted to return to Vicuna. The visit provided us an opportunity to partake of lunch at Mistral, which for us was a shared Quinoa Salad. Very good service and a lovely salad but overall nothing exceptional. Probably best of the various restaurants in the town.

We loved this place. It's actually an art studio/home/cafe. The owner is an amazingly creative artist/craftswoman and in addition to some wonderful food, offers many of her works for sale. She is bi-lingual in Spanish and English. We had dinner there twice out on the back balcony overlooking a gorgeous view.
The first night we had pasta and salad with homemade pesto sauce---yummy. The second night we had the 2nd specialty, fish. My partner had sunfish with vegetables and I had swordfish wit potatoes cooked Chilean style. We also had dessert, frozen papaya stuffed with homemade ice cream. Everything was tasty and good. The prices were quite reasonable too. Don't expect a huge menu and a big professional kitchen and staff. Go if you want a cool atmosphere, good eats and creative food choices.

A Different-Healthy-Natural place in the heart of the Elqui Valley where you can enjoy an innovative dining experience, relax in our chill-out Terrace and be seduced by the incredible views of the majestic Mountains that surround us ... We wait!
Very nice atmosphere to have a chilly dinner. They serve good teas and jugos which are a bit a expensive but taste good! The maindishes are just perfect, especially the falafel, about clp 5k! The staff was very nice and they create a good vibe! There is wifi as well. Well done, thank you!

We had dinner here one of the three nights we spent in Pisco Elqui. The menu was quite extensive for a such a small place (three tables inside, two outside). There were a variety of sandwiches, hot dogs and pizza. Lots of people were stopping by for take-out orders. The sandwiches we had we quite good, and the very friendly proprietor proudly told us that he and his wife make everything except the bread. The best part of the meal was the delicious away of homemade sauces that accompanied the food. I couldn't decide which one I liked best, so kept drizzling them in turn on each bite before I took it. It was a quick, tasty, inexpensive meal--highly recommended.
