Písac or Pisac (possibly from Quechua for Nothoprocta, also spelled p'isaqa) is a Peruvian village in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. It is situated on the Vilcanota River. Pisac is most known for its Incan ruins and large market every Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday, an event which attracts heavy tourist traffic from nearby Cusco.

This place has a nice atmosphere but the food is just ok. Nice selection of juices. They say they accept credit cards but pressure you to pay cash and use the overpriced atm machine which charges 4.50 for international transactions. My chicken dish was ok

We stopped in for a late dinner our first night in Peru, and it was great to find healthy fare in this interesting multi-level building with a central courtyard. The food is simple, organic, fare mixing local styles with international. The cafe is very relaxed, with sofas, games for all ages, and books available - and easy place to relax for a tea or a whole meal.

Trattoria Escondida

Food is always delicious. Dishes are fall in love-able. The trucha (trout) is amazzzzing; same goes for the veggie lasgna and pumpkin raviola... and the cesear salad. Tim is really wonderful and puts so much love and attention to the details of everything he makes. The ingredients are top quality, many things coming from local organic farms. The chocolate volcano is well loved by many... try that too. The view is spectacular -- in a quiet part of Pisac. Ah, and the music is great.

We stayed at the Pisac Inn so we were lucky enough to eat at Cuchara de Palo several times. We enjoyed it every time!
The breakfast there is yummy. The standard breakfast (eggs, bread, avocado, cheese) is great, and the quinoa pancakes are delicious!
For dinner I had aji de gallina one night and trucha a la maracuya another. Both were good! The maracuya sours were also yummy.
The service is very friendly. We love Pisac Inn and Cuchara de Palo!

Sapo's has the best pizza, great drinks, friendly service, and beautiful local art on the walls. I love going to Sapo's for the ambiance as well as the food. The tables in back are set up so friends can sit and lounge while waiting for their food. Also, there is no rush to leave when finished. All around a great place to get food in Pisac! The prices are very reasonable! I do wish they would open earlier as well as have their hours posted, but minor detail!!

Stopped here for lunch. Good value for money in a nice relaxed courtyard off the Pisac market. Pizza was really good, and burgers were fine. The Proprietor dude with dreadlocks was very friendly, and there is a Guinea pig enclosure to check out.
